Last week I caught up with Sam and Luke of @aksfx.music in the studio to hear all about their music in House House's new game, Big Walk.

Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure about teamwork and talking, and to complement this experience, akfsx have created a gorgeously fun and otherworldly soundtrack which can be heard across the different stations on the in-game radio.

Such a hoot to guest in on The Blend last night, sharing some beepy, glitchy game tunes, and chatting with @blendcorp about Game Jams, my connection to the games industry, and heaps more.

Brought in a handful of tracks that I suspect Blend listeners will enjoy, including some tracks from iconic games such as Unreal Tournament ( @vandenbosmichiel ) and Wipeout ( @coldstorageofficial ), as well as some selections from more recent games like Machine Party ( @alex_peipman ) and C-Smash VRS ( @_danalogue ).

So much eclectic and experimental electronic music in games spanning all eras. I had so much fun pulling this mix together; I might just bring this same vibe to this week's episode of Game Jams.

Listen back to my chat with @eric.guenther__ about his debut game soundtrack, Code Breach.

I took this opportunity to do a deep dive into Eric's musical background, spinning some tunes from @thecontortionist, @fromexileatl, and digging up some tracks from bands in their network who have music licensed in video games.

Expect heaps of prog-rock/metal sounds in the first half of the show, before slowing things down in the second half.

Also featuring some upcoming music by @therealchrisnorton for the incremental mining game Rock Bottom.

I also managed to sneak in a handful of favourites and throwbacks in this episode, including some SimCity tracks that @muzocan put on my radar, a fantastic cover of Aquatic Ambience going out to @greg0r_e, and some game-y vaporwave in anticipation of @alwaysopenpbs's final episode coming up this week.

Quite a bit of psychedelic sounds in the first hour or so, influenced by @penny___lane____ who's presenting Psyche-delish on Test Pressing this July.

There are only a few days of PBS's Radio Festival left for the year!
