Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Tuesday, 06/10/2026

💬: The closing day 9 of #parisfashionweek wouldn’t have felt complete if there wasn’t the slightest hint of a performative twist to its proceedings, as #pierrecardin showcased its latest at an ice-skating rink (not quite expected for Spring Summer), which featured choreographed routines at the opening as well as during the closing moments, and had its creative director, #rodrigobasilicati present bespoke “retro-futurist” looks, but with a contemporary allure to them, as their structures were inspired by the technology infused within the @europeanspaceagency ‘s spacesuits, used in training for future moon landings, and undoubtedly nodded to the Maison’s cherished DNA of differentiating monochromatic hues and intriguing geometry, showcased in majority of the jumpsuits that were quite skin-tight, and within the evening section too.

“Knit-Ware VOL. 13: Harmony” Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Tuesday, 06/10/2026

💬: Amidst the present surroundings which evoke darkness and despair, it is no guess that the solution to such baseless negativity is being flexible, supple, and pragmatic, even when faced with the onset of unfortunate times, as Yusuke Takashi’s new #cfcl edition of 43 buoyant beauties (an acronym for #clothingforcontemporarylife , and now N°13 in his “Knit-ware” series), witnessed the designer being inspired by the Finnish architect, Alvar Aalto’s (1898 - 1976) philosophy of harmony and purpose, which was expanded into a series of lurex knit dresses tacked on with tiers of handkerchief-like swatches, one-shouldered tops that resembled cloudy puffs, and lots of room for transparencies exhibited in the form of knit jumpsuits, or knit trousers, or even knit dresses, that heralded comfort and movement, which are indeed necessary.

“STRICHA” Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Tuesday, 06/10/2026
🕦⠅11:30 A.M.
📍: @cafe_beaubourg , 43 Rue Saint-Merri, 75004 Paris, France

💬: Translating to an “encounter” or a “meeting”, Ukrainian designer, #lilialitkovska of #litkovska decided to unfurl the meaning behind this word (the collection’s title originates from Hutsul, a dialect of Ukrainian spoken by the subethnic group with the same name), in her novel showcase of 31 exits, wherein Litkovska dealt with the idea of confrontations (undoubtedly in a positive light), but more from an artistic perspective and especially with relation to the self, as the lineup featured tops embroidered with faces (a collaboration with Ukrainian artist, Borys Kosarev), puffy volumes with drawstrings for adjustment purposes, and a medley of clashing textures such as frayed seams and colourful fringes to evoke the aesthetic of a visual mêlée, but with more of a curated, purposeful, and well-crafted bent to it, as vividly exhibited here.

Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Tuesday, 06/10/2026

💬: Even if the showspace featured metallic barriers with the intent of a precisely-defined choreography for the models to walk around the audience, there was nary a presence of these physical hindrances within #ujoh ’s new collection of 45 exits by Aco Nishizaki and Mitsuru Nishizaki, that witnessed a preponderance of denim reimagined in refreshing fusions and breathable volumes, via the brand’s preferred technique of deconstructing the conventional, which thereby introduced fresh ideas in everyday dressing, where any of this collection’s pieces would ideally be suitable for every kind of occasion.

“La Conversation - Part Three - Different Faces of the Same Coin” Ready-to-Wear Spring Summer 2027

💬: Time does fly by at an incredibly uncontrollable speed, and so did the flock of birds (not quite literally, but wish they did for that cinematic effect), suspended alongside an orb resembling the lunar surface, from the mammoth glass roof of the Grand Palais’ cavernous showspace (the décor this season was designed by French scenographer, Richard Peduzzi’s @atelierpeduzzi ), that rung in the first anniversary of recently-instated #chanel creative director, #matthieublazy ’s “Blazymania” (coined lovingly by the press and his legion of fans, given the intense outpouring of love and admiration for his textural euphoria and imaginative universes, following his game-changing debut at this renowned Maison, last year), wherein he extended on his conversation with the namesake founder (this present edition was the third-part instalment to this thematic series, with his Spring Summer 2026 and Fall Winter 2026 showings acting as the maiden and sophomore chapters), and expanded on that spiritual dialogue with a whopping 83-look lineup, that poetically charted Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s life in several remarkable milestones, with elements borrowed from Edwardian tailoring and constrictive corsetry, that progressively loosened up, and was rendered buoyant & feather-light, thanks to a list of in-house innovations, devised and executed by the Maison’s treasured coterie of artisanal workshops, housed in @le19m .

Women's Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Monday, 05/10/2026
🕓⠅04:00 P.M.
📍: Salle des Textiles (Level 1) • @lecnam , 292 Rue Saint-Martin, 75003 Paris, France

📸: @victor.virgile.fashion
✍️: @lafeuille98

💬: A darkened room illuminated by strategically-placed spotlights was the chosen scenographic setting for the new #kikokostadinov women’s counterpart by sisters and co-creatives, #lauradeannafanning , who showcased 36 looks that was quite conceptually-driven but possessed enough practicality for real life , that took its seasonal inspiration from Italian visual artist, Nanda Vigo’s (1936 - 2020) minimalist installations, wherein she explored light and its luminous capacities with respect to varying spatial constraints, which therefore became the visual guide for the Fanning duo, who transferred her artistic philosophy to their inventive sartorial language, that incorporated experimenting with layering by using differing textures and weights of textiles, to not only give birth to a multi-dimensional result in terms of the overall look, but also managed to successfully interpret the way in which Vigo would often utilise contrasting materials and transform them into imaginative assemblages, as evidenced within her works to exhibit her achieved outcome, and also thanks to the mathematics of geometry that was vividly featured within the edit’s triangular tops, and skirts with inverted triangles.

“PROSERPꞮNE” Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Monday, 05/10/2026
🕑⠅02:00 P.M.
📍: @museecluny , 28 Rue du Sommerard, 75005 Paris, France

📸: @victor.virgile.fashion

💬: Given the current state of global affairs which has left the world in tatters, and the unrelenting pace with which natural calamities have become a sort of daily occurrence, the dual pillars of hope and pragmatism are essential in regaining lost courage and re-igniting self-belief, as exhibited by #arianadancu and Liana Dancu, the co-designers behind their Montreal-based brand, #wildroseandsparrow , wherein they presented 27 gossamer-light beauties, that took its inspirational cues from the Greek myth of Persephone (also known as “Proserpina” in Latin, she’s the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the goddess of grain, and embodies rebirth, resilience and transformation), which was duly incorporated within their lineup, that saw the creations gradually transition from darkness to lightness (both in colour and texture), with floral-motif lace evident in plenty of the silhouettes, as the textile was painstakingly crafted into delicate floor-length dresses and tailored skirt-suits that had a hint of a fluted peplum, paired with an array of wispy tops bordered by fluttering ruffles and lightly-ruched negligées, that showcased the deftness of nimble-handed workmanship in this pastoral unravelling. taken in Musée de Cluny by @gammaraphomode

💬: Uruguayan designer and founder of her namesake brand, Gabriela Hearst has always pioneered a craft-first and solely craft-based approach within her collections, by either highlighting forgotten artisanal traditions, or putting a particular community’s native heritage and treasured legacy under the limelight, as this season saw Hearst put Afghanistan on the map, and subsequently collaborate with @turquoisemountain , a non-profit based collective established in 2006 by His Majesty, King Charles III (introduced to Hearst by English cultural historian and curator, Dr. Thomas Wide), that champions and supports the power of female-led artisanal workmanship, and connects their several makers either situated in Kabul, Bamiyan or the country’s northern regions to global brands and creators, which translated into an easygoing lineup of 42 passages, that not only comprised of Hearst’s preferred selection of breathable volumes, masculine suiting, and vibrant knits, but included plenty of decorative Afghani motifs realised and painstakingly executed by the gifted hands of these nameless women, who wove determination, resilience and willpower within the pieces of this thought-provoking showing.

💬: Spring Summer always demands for freshness, lightness and romance, be it in the clothing or in spirit, as all these aforementioned aspects were present in abundance within the almost 50-year old Taiwanese brand, Shiatzy Chen’s newly-unveiled showcase, that saw 60 refreshing and summer-ready looks presented (inclusive of a few men’s looks injected within the edit), that was inspired by the orchid’s purity and structure, and stretched across nine different chapters, which had the exquisite bloom incorporated and infused in various ways pertaining to colour, design and embellishment (also not forgetting the set design, that saw the particular floral species blown up to life-like scale): opening with “Orchid in Bloom” that had feathery or floral-embellished bralette tops paired with sober tailoring; to the third chapter, “Petals in Motion” which comprised of airy pieces that bore aerodynamic panels cut and moulded to resemble orchid petals; to the sixth part, “Orchid in Ink”, that consisted of masculine elements woven-in with the orchid branches crafted in leather, and embossed perfectly; to “Orchid After Dark”, the final ninth chapter, that had magical evenings under starry nights in focus.

“Moment of Becoming: The Art of Wearing One’s Inner World” Women’s Spring Summer 2027

🗓️⠅Monday, 05/10/2026

📍: La Grande Nef • @collegedesbernardins , 20 Rue de Poissy, 75005 Paris, France

💬: “Trompe l’œil” or “tricking the eye” is a choice artistic technique that has always fascinated #sacai ’s #chitoseabe with its consistent incorporation to the hilt, as evidenced within her numerous showcases, and also present in her current seasonal edition of 45 tailoring-meets-flou amalgamations (Abe was back on the #parisfashionweek runway, following her temporary shift to a lookbook presentation during the previous Autumn Winter 2026 season), that didn’t just comprise of her noteworthy sartorial confluences such as: a pair of cargo trousers with its seams taken apart and configured with a bouncy kick-pleat to morph into a skirt, or a shirt with its typical sleeves replaced by an arresting pair of bow-tied versions for a more operatic flair, or even a black coat with peaked shoulders that had its internal canvas out and melded with a quilted puffer to display technical prowess, but also witnessed some intriguing textural applications sprinkled within the lineup, either in the form of silvery necklaces that garlanded the models’ shirt collars and necks, or zoomed-in cable knit or sequin embroidery motifs printed across the militaresque pieces, that certainly brought playful nuances to tactility.
