I’m very happy and honored to announce that 𝘜𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 is now part of the FRAC Île-de-France collection 🪺 @fraciledefrance I would like to thank the acquisition committee as well as the FRAC Île-de-France team.
After two years of collaborations in various forms : beginning with the group exhibition Vieilles coques et jeunes récifs (@poulinceline & @alicia_reymond ), followed by workshops in the addiction unit at Fernand Vidal Hospital ( Laure Delclaux & @tympaniolum ), and culminating in my solo exhibition Push-Up Reveries, invited by @maelle.dault , it is especially meaningful to me to join the collection of an institution that has supported me so much and is rooted in the area where my daily life unfolds. A selection of photos to celebrate, including its mockup version and following the piece through several weeks of hand-stitching and adjustments. Starting with its presentation in my solo show @ciaccialeviparismilan then @lafayetteanticipations during my residency where it all started, then to my studio and my former apartment for late night stitching sessions 🪡🤍 Many thanks as well to my gallery @ciaccialeviparismilan for all their work!! Made in Lafayette Anticipations 🗜️ Garance Früh, lauréate de notre résidence « À l’œuvre ! » 2024, a passé trois mois à la Fondation, guidée par notre équipe curatoriale et notre équipe de production, pour donner forme à ses projets ! Grâce à l’atelier de Lafayette Anticipations et à l’accompagnement dont elle a pu bénéficier, Garance Früh a développé de nouvelles techniques. Au cours des trois mois de résidence, deux séries d’œuvres ont été réalisées. La première, en métal, textile provenant de vêtements gainants, perles en silicones et céramique. Et la seconde en cuir moulé sur des formes usinées à la CNC*.
