acts as a metaphor for the evolution of human-made materials and the perceived binary of what is natural and what is manufactured.

The work may lead us to question how we know materials we find in the world beyond the duality of “natural” vs otherwise.

Can these seemingly separate categories overlap?

Organized by Bel Falleiros, the exhibition brings together four artists that are both connected by geography (along the shores of the Hudson River, from Troy to Upper Manhattan) and by their relationship to landscape, ancestral knowledge, and the cycles of life.

Occupying the Main Gallery, is a large collaborative site-specific installation: a sculptural-drawing floor work made of earthly materials, threaded together by a sound piece composed from their breath and voices.

This Saturday:Sketch Mob 250 at GARNER Arts Festival:

Join a sketch mob of artists of all ages and skill levels to create a crowd-sourced landscape of the 14-acre complex in celebration of GARNER Arts Festival’s 25th anniversary and America 250.

$25 per person (children under 12 are free)
$20 Students
$15 Residents of Haverstraw

📜 Did you know that our Pre-Civil War campus was once the site of the Garner Print Works which employed thousands of people and had its own firehouse and YMCA?
