One more birthday to celebrate and it’s that of none other than @runwchristlex

On 2/22/25 the first Run With Christ Lexington event took place. The days before it snowed so much to the point we had to shovel a miles worth of snow just to have a clear path to run. We had no idea what to expect and if anyone would come with it being so cold, but God made a way and 150 people, ran, prayed and worshipped together at 8am on a cold Saturday morning.

I look back on that now and I’m still so in awe of where God has taken us. We’ve seen so many peoples lives changed and real community being found. So many vulnerable moments filled with love, care, joy, excitement and laughter.

I always wondered why the University of Kentucky was the school I ended up going to since it was LAST on my list, but God has a plan all along. It was for this. For Him to show me what he can do with an ounce of obedience from a random group of college students who want to see change in their city.

Jesus I am so thankful for the people you’ve put in my life, the rooms you’ve placed me in and the experiences I’ve witnessed. I can’t wait to see what you do in the next year and years to come, even after we’ve gone! Thank you Jesus only you could do this… taken in Lexington, Kentucky by @garrettp.2

1 year ago on January 16th, 2025 at 9:30pm, I fully surrendered my life over to Jesus. He took all of the drinking, smoking, vaping, shame, sadness and every other thing I carried off my back, and picked me up as well.

I didn’t feel any tingling feeling, any warmth, or any radical experience, and what I did not know was that my life would change forever.

The very next day the Lord allowed me to steward Run With Christ in my college community of the University of Kentucky. With no previous ministry experience, barely knowing who Jesus truly was, only seeing Run With Christ from my people in Cincy; I had no idea what to do but He did all the work and places every person, facility and need right in front of me.

But this isn’t about RWC - it’s about the man on the middle cross. The man who died for me, and you, so that I could have life. This life he gave me has been the best year filled with Him, community, travel, and an unbelievable sense of peace. 95% of the people in this post I have met in the last 365 days and I am so thankful Jesus has allowed me to meet them. I’ve seen healings, deliverance, hundreds of baptisms and even more salvations… and it’s only been 1 year. I’m so excited and hungry to see what Jesus will do for the rest of my life, living it day by day unto Him. What I do know as I keep going is that I cannot go back and I cannot keep this in. If you do not know the name Jesus Christ, ask me, ask someone, ASK ANYONE who knows. It is the best decision you’ll ever make.

These few months have been interesting - going through spiritual warfare, hardest school semester yet, not being home, less available time in the word, traveling every couple of weeks and whatever else is happening in my life; I’ve had to learn what it means to experience and find the Lord in every way, especially in the fire.

I am being taught now to invite Jesus into everything I am doing, not just waiting to find Him when I open up the word. Yes He is there, but He is everywhere. Someone told me to simply just say, “Hey Jesus” and there you are in His presence. Something so simple, that I already knew, just needed reminding of.

Don’t forget to invite Jesus into everything you do because He is waiting to do it with you, He already is, you just have to realize it - especially in the fire.

Wow Jesus…

I think about the last 7 days and what I have seen Jesus do - bring a all family across the nation together, break chains and misconceptions, give opportunities to spread the gospel, friends get baptized, and I am just in awe.

I cannot help but think, why me? I haven’t even been following Him for a full year yet He has blessed me with much more than I could ever imagine and has called me to places unthought of.

Jesus you are everything and until everybody knows, keep me hungry.

Acts 20:24 - “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” by @garrettp.2

Thank you Father for the people you’ve put into my life - those that pour into me and those you’ve entrusted me to pour into. Thank you for the opportunities you’ve given me to speak of your goodness.
