Orange Cup 🇳🇱 – Competition Day 2
Clifton Athlete Results Summary 🇿🇦

Arrive at the pool in the dark, leave in the dark 11 hours later — Day 2 was a big one! With an early start and the women’s extra event (Super Lifesaver), there wasn’t much breakfast chit chat… just fuel up, quick motivation, and off to race.

The Line Throw… well, we’ll say no more about that 😅
But from the 50m Manikin Carry onwards, the results started rolling in with strong swims from Casey and Bella.

The ladies delivered a brilliant 4×25m Manikin Relay — an unofficial 2nd place in Juniors — while Jack placed 17th in the National men’s relay team.

The dreaded 200m Super Lifesaver produced standout performances:
• Casey cracking sub-2:50 for the first time
• Rosie with two excellent lengths before an unlucky loss of the manikin on the final stretch

Both our women’s and men’s Medley Relay teams also took part in the new Orange Cup VIP programme. Jack finished 9th overall; Bella & Rosie grabbed 7th overall and an unofficial 1st Junior team, missing an 8-year-old SA record by just 1.2s!

By the end of Day 2, every athlete had clocked 1–2 PBs, with a few races still to come.
