The Global Roadmap of Action for Adolescents and Young People's Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (GRA) has wrapped up the first East Africa Regional Leadership Accelerator Program in Lilongwe, Malawi. This Accelerator aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders in global health, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health.

Young and Alive is proud to co-lead the GRA alongside 40 other youth-led organizations globally. Our Program Director, Innocent @innocentgrant1 , was one of the participants, and our Managing Director, Otuck William @otuck_william was one of the trainers, together with @PeterNgure and @ChizobaOnyechi.

Many thanks to in-country coordinators @YETOD and @gatesjhu William Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health for supporting the Accelerator.

On October 5, @unfpa in collaboration with the @africanunion_officialpage and the Government of Germany are launching a series of Government-to-Government Dialogues on Demographic Diversity and Dividends.

Anticipating demographic change and strengthening human potential are critical for governments to deliver on the promises of the ICPD Programme of Action, the 2030 Agenda, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the Addis Ababa Declaration on Population and Development and other regional development frameworks.

The series will enable government-government exchange on policy lessons and innovative practices for promoting human potential and planning well for demographic change. by @gatesjhu

It is our privilege to invite you to participate in ICFP's Not without FP Forum: A Virtual Dialogue for the FP Community, being held February 2-3, 2021. This 2-day virtual gathering for the global health community will serve as a platform to discuss COVID-19’s impact on the family planning and reproductive health community, as well as family planning’s essential role in universal health coverage. This entirely virtual convening will serve as a springboard toward the in-person ICFP, taking place November 8-11, 2021 in Pattaya City, Thailand.

This special virtual convening will feature engaging digital programming on ICFPLive!, a Virtual Exhibit Hall, dedicated community engagement spaces, and two special plenary sessions. This community forum is partner-driven and will include a mix of plenary sessions, community dialogues, and engagement opportunities.
