Explore energetic abstractions and sonic affirmations during Resonance with visual artists Alix Adekman, Naomi Gilbert and sonic artist Carol Daggs during Resonance: Make Space to Resonate

@alixmakesart @naomigilbert9 @saratogasoulbook

Alix Aidekman, New York-based artist
In the artist’s words:
“Within my Dottie series, I fill in the negative space between small and imperfect circles with an ink pen, often working for long periods on a single piece of paper in a meditative state. What begins as self-soothing marks made in solitude become visual maps of healing.”

Naomi Gilbert, New York-based artist
In the artist’s words:
“Nature inspires me, but it is the underlying energies, vibrations, and frequencies of the cosmos that I seek to represent rather than the distinct forms of the material world. It is this universal resonance, the interplay of vibration, frequency, and form, that inspires my practice.”

Carol R. Daggs (Jazzage), Musician, author, and visual artist
In the artist’s words:
“Jazzage: the artful application of musical Jazz sounds to the auditory apparatus and soul via vocal and instrumental flow! In 2020, I successfully published Saratoga Soul Brandtville Blues.”

Expand perspective with New York-based artist Kate Quarfordt during Resonance: Make Space to Resonate
On view through August 22 and part of Gather’s annual Consciousness Spiral. Resonance phase synchronizes with summer following Awakening and prior to Integration and Embodiment seasons. @katequarfordt

In the artist’s words:
“My work explores reflected sunlight and other transmissions of nature’s spiritual intelligence channelled in unlikely, sometimes subversive ways through the built environment of the city. Walking and observing the cyclical movements of light on buildings is a devotional practice for me, a way to unhook from the frenetic pace of city life and reconnect to a more resonant, embodied experience of time.”

On view through August 22 and part of Gather’s annual Consciousness Spiral. Resonance phase synchronizes with summer following Awakening and prior to Integration and Embodiment seasons.
@janetmorganarts

On view through August 22 and part of Gather’s annual Consciousness Spiral. Resonance phase synchronizes with summer following Awakening and prior to Integration and Embodiment seasons.
