It’s been nearly a year since we wed in the quiet glade above our home, surrounded by family and friends and more dogs than most would consider reasonable. It hasn’t changed us much, sharing a name, wearing a ring. But we knew it wouldn’t. I loved you endlessly from the start. And your belief in me, in what’s possible together, has never wavered. What a blessing, that the oak tree of our love is meant to be forever.

Today, our oak tree is showing new spring growth. Which I suspect may change a few things, in ways that are more beautiful and inspiring and surely more humbling than either of us can imagine. I do know that we’ll be a team through it all, us three. So happy Mother’s Day to you Lucia, the first of many. taken in Black Mountain by @gatheringmarbles

I’ve been burning for a while now and I love it more than ever, much to do with our camp, something I’m quite proud to be a part of. When I founded @mydadshouse_ in 2019, the idea was to craft a platform for radical, individualized expressions and for the passions of our campers to determine our interactivity. Simple enough: a theme camp without a specific theme, beyond unabashed fatherly support and encouragement. Well, we’ve done it. Witnessing the endless iterations of our shtick continue to evolve is among the most fulfilling experiences of my life. There’s no better hobby than building weird shit in the desert with my dads. What a gift. Onwards… taken in Black Rock City by @gatheringmarbles

And so it went… 5 years of love and partnership blooming from the dust, now perennial, evergreen, and always. We’ve finally caught up with ourselves. taken in Black Rock City by @gatheringmarbles
