Inspired by the beautiful bathroom stalls in Chicano Park 🩵 Coatlicue y Coyolxauhqui, madre y la luna 🌓 I took this pic in 2024 after the murals were done and I instantly knew I wanted to make a set based off the art.

I specifically wanted to make a set dedicated to femmes, to the goddesses and the ancestors that represent our strength and resilience. The ones that get erased from books and history lessons, the ones that live within us everyday.

Nails are a part of that history, a part of how we express ourselves and what makes us feel beautiful. Instead of using nails as a way to conform I choose to make them as a way to keep culture and resistance alive thru art. taken in San Diego, California by @gatitagarras
