Life is about experiences. You only get one life and you try to create as many experiences as you can with people that you care about. With my job I sometimes get the opportunity to do things that I would have never gotten to do otherwise. The most fulfilling part is being able to capture those moments so others can see, feel, be in that moment with us. The recent trip to Georgia with our team was amazing. I’ve been on many trips but this one was probably one of the best. We were surrounded by awesome people like @tacticalcowboy01 , @hawaiianshoodah_tcts , @the_ron_dan , @josh_arfcom , @bobby_getzan as well as the whole team at @surefire_llc . Thank you for having us Surefire. The event was fantastic and we learned so much from @morgangunnell & @make_ready . It was long days in the heat and long nights but it was worth it because it was an experience. Getting to share that time with @brandon_cf_shorts & @theelizabrooke was invaluable to us as a team. There may be more trips but if this was the last/only one then I am humbled and blessed to have been apart of it. by @gatslinger

Another great match with @operationalmorons . I’m not the most consistent shooter. I’ve just been trying to get the reps in and hoping that I can learn something every match. I often bomb the first stage and I spoke with @gil_fortitude_consulting about this. He said don’t say that to yourself. Just think you know you need to improve on the first stage every time. Thanks for the advice homie🤙🏼. I’m a glass half empty guy 😂. This match wasn’t my best but it was the first time I have ever finished with an A Class Classifier. This was that run. I told myself just push speed and slow down when you need to and get your hits. I often push speed too much and sling misses. Then I try to slow down and I go too slow and over confirm my target and kill my HF. Again inconsistency is my flaw. This run felt like I found a good pace and I went fast when I needed to and slowed down at the right moments and didn’t rush my shots. Finished 10th overall on this classifier so I was pretty happy with that. It’s the little wins that add up. 7.68 - 12 A - 2 C by @gatslinger

Another training night tonight with @operationalmorons . Worked on “El Prez” and another classifier. I decided I was really going to push myself and see how fast I could go while still hitting paper. I honestly surprised myself at times. Apparently I surprised @tha704sasquatch also at the end 😂. Overall a great night and I even got a “Good Job” from @twan_wick instead of another insult about how ugly I am 🤣🤣🤣 by @gatslinger

This is the last stage from the PBR match. It was a classifier. It was C class run I believe. (C Class Chad) I feel like the first string was better than the second. The movement just felt better the first time. Moving to my left is still awkward and I need to work on it more for sure. I am still working moving my eyes first and driving the gun. My target transitions on the second string are definitely slower. by @gatslinger

Last nights PBR Matthews match went pretty well. Still working on speed at the right times and trying not to over confirm. Switched from my old trusty Glock 17 to the Staccato HD P4.5 for Limited Optics these next couple matches. This was the third stage. Just before the stage @griplookpressflo & @tha704sasquatch reminded me not to miss any targets on this or it will cost me. Kenny said get all Alphas. We laughed and then I did it somehow. Check that group on the second target 👀👀. Overall a great night with the homies and learning as much as I can from people better than me. One match at a time trying to suck a little less.

Shout out to @operationalmorons for putting on a great first official match. Been shooting with these guys for a while. So it’s good to see them hosting their own matches now. My night was not good overall. Played it too safe (No misses/ no shoots 🤷🏼‍♂️) and didn’t push myself as much as I should have. This was the last stage of the night. It had an awkward retreat that I am still trying to figure out what is more natural for me. (That ain’t it watching it back) I see many mistakes in my run and some I need to isolate and work on. Time is my biggest enemy. Trust me I spend days going over my footage and beating myself up over it. No one criticizes myself more than me. Another match tomorrow at PBR in Matthews. Hopefully this match will have knocked the dust off a bit and I can make some progress finally. (Haven’t shot a match in 3 months) by @gatslinger

Some videos from shooting this week. Still getting used to the Staccato HD but did also got some reps with the Glock 17 Gen 6. Overall good night of shooting. The best thing about shooting with people better than you is that the knowledge is always there when you need it. I may not be good yet but I’m feel like things are starting to work for me. Shout out to the homies @tha704sasquatch @cody.lomonico @twan_wick (Happy Bday homie) for always giving me pointers (& not letting me quit). One day that advice will stick. 😂 by @gatslinger

Sundays are for the homies. Slight break with vacation after this one and then back at it. Probably still take my gear with me. Can’t afford to get any worse than I already am 🤣 by @gatslinger
