Last night, the GAY BASH’D founders were awarded a Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Michelle Wu of the City of Boston. We are deeply moved by this honor and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this amazing community over the years. As a small business ran by a trans woman and a queer immigrant, people like us don’t expect to receive recognition at this scale. We are profoundly grateful. Thank you to @mayorwu & @cityofboston for honoring @sheisstatic & @math3ca this way and for solidifying GAY BASH’D in Boston’s queer history. Thank you @_corean_ & @bostonoeoi for delivering this to us, sharing this moment, and for your commitment to nightlife in Boston. We can’t think of a more special way for this project to end. Thank you everyone who came out and showered us in love last night and joined us for our final party. We love you all. Thank you for 8 amazing years.

GAY BASH’D is closing and you are invited to our Gay Funeral on Halloween Night! It wouldn’t be a proper closing without our friend @theonlydetox in the house 🖤 special DJ takeover from @entertheboudoir crew + drag/live show from some of our faves! Come in a Halloween costume, or just dress for our funeral. Bonus points if you bring black roses to place on the stage (pls that would be so funny) 🖤

Tickets at the 🔗in bio. We anticipate this to sell quickly so jump on it and we shall see you on Halloween! Friday, October 31 18+

Thank you for the outpour of love on our closing announcement post from a few days ago. We are deeply moved by everyone’s words and cannot wait to dance with you all one last time. It’s going to be a really, really special night. Don’t miss it🖤🖤🖤 taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @gaybashdboston

There have been roughly 50 renditions of GAY BASH’D since 2018. Looking down memory lane here are some, not all, of our favorite fliers and parties! Huge shoutout to @bobbottlenyc for being such an amazing collaborator over the years and bringing so many of our outrageous ideas and vision to life. Bob is a fabulous artist and a true innovator of promo design whose incredible work is seen all across the country!

We are getting our final event ready now. In the meantime, let us know below which flier, headliner, or party was your favorite? Thank you for all the love on yesterdays announcement 🖤🫶✨ by @gaybashdboston
