September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools and to stand with Survivors, their families, and communities.

This day is a call to reflection, learning, and action. We encourage everyone to explore the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, seek out Survivor stories, and commit to ongoing learning throughout the year.

September 30 is also Orange Shirt Day. GDI staff and students will wear orange on September 29 to remember, honour, and continue the path of reconciliation.
