Our film is an official selection for the 63rd International Critic’s Week @semaine_de_la_critique ! We’re honored to compete in the 77th Cannes Film Festival and represent our country’s pool of overflowing talents. I finally get to share these stills from our short film , RADIKALS, written and directed by my dear friend, @arvinbelarmino . 🐓

I remember when Arvin and I prepped for this wild and bizarre film last December, his extensive interest for chickens led us to curate and influence movement with the native Bakte dance of Cavite. I had a goal of lighting it eerily to expand the feeling of mystery around the dance-group. Plus, a two-day marathon of shooting all of that.

Thank you, Arvin and our producer, @kristinejadeleon for completely trusting me. Everything still feels like a dream since I graduated, yet, we've come so far but still have a long long way to go. AMDG! 🙏🏼💙🇵🇭

LOOK: Official poster of RIA for the Busan International Film Festival. @busanfilmfest

At first glance, the design takes inspiration from real punk zines and underground gig posters. Its raw, DIY aesthetic reflects the spirit of the punk community at the heart of the film.

Look closer, and the poster reveals the film’s central theme: resistance. It pays tribute to Filipino underground punk communities that continue to hold their ground amid displacement, impunity, and systemic abuses of power.

In the image, RIA becomes Tarima itself: a home, a community, and a symbol of defiance. Though threatened by forces determined to erase it, Tarima refuses to disappear. Bruised but unbroken, it continues to resist, endure, and stand its ground.

Packed up, 2025! 🎬

From places I once only dreamed of to spaces I never thought I'd reach again. 🙏🏽

Being back in Cannes, shooting my first feature, having films make its way to TIFF and Sundance… and most of all, being supported, challenged, and grounded by the right people along the way. ♥️

Like my mentors who have shaped me, this year also gave me the chance to give back and share what I’ve learned so far.

Grateful for everyone I’ve worked with, everyone I will work with, and everyone I hope to learn from as we step into 2026. ☺️🌏

Our short film is headed to the #SundanceFilmFestival! We can’t wait for audiences to experience TAGA at the 2026 Festival.

Exactly one year ago, we were slogging through the mud and rain with our gear, actors and SFX makeup in the mountains of Kalinga, Philippines. We’re absolutely thrilled to bring this baby to Sundance this January! Come see our Filipina American horror shoot that turns a lens on neo-colonialism.

We hope you join us in person from Jan 22–Feb 2 or watch online starting Jan 29.

Sharing a few stills from TAGA, a powerful film led by Fil-Am director, Jill Sachs (@jillsachs). Filming in Kalinga's rainy landscapes presented challenges, but we adapted using portable generators and lightweight yet durable equipment. And even the overcast sky became a creative advantage for our day-for-night scenes, bringing Jill's vision for the film to life!

I certainly learned a lot working with incredible collaborators in this women-led project. 🙏🏽🌏🇵🇭

And shout-out to these guys for supporting our ideas and vision--you guys are the secret ingredient! 🤌🏼🎥
