This AANAPISI week, we wanted to highlight some faculty that help make our AANHPI Initiatives programs and AAPI curriculum at Cal Poly Pomona possible! 👩🏽‍🏫🏫Meet our EWS partners: Dr. Jocelyn Pacleb and Dr. Marimas Hosan Mostiller! They teach courses like 📗EWS 1401: Intro to Ethnic Studies, 📘EWS 2041: Asian American Historical Experience, and 📙EWS 4040: Contemporary Asian Pacific Islander American Studies. Last Spring, EWS planned a service- learning Alternative Spring Break in Hawai’i 🌺.

🌊Interested in studying Pasifika and Asian American culture and history—and discovering more about your own stories and identity 👀? Enroll in some EWS courses and consider the Asian American Studies minor! More info @ews_cpp and the link in our bio. taken in Cal Poly Pomona by @gemscpp

Meet your AANHPI Initiatives staff!💚

This AANAPISI Week, we’re celebrating the incredible team working every day to uplift, support, and represent our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities at CPP.🌺

Swipe through to hear why this week matters to them, and the messages they want every AANHPI student to carry with them.

You are never alone here. Your community, your culture, and your story all belong at CPP! 💚💛 taken in Cal Poly Pomona by @gemscpp

Create, connect and spend time in community with us this October! 🎨✨

Join us for our next Community Creative Space on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Community Innovation Hub in Downtown Pomona.

Bring your crafts, journaling materials, homework or anything you’d like to work on and enjoy a welcoming space to create alongside others. This month’s reflection theme is centered on growth and change as we move into a new season. 🍂

Come for a little while or stay for the day — everyone is welcome!
