Soooo…. Your girl got 1st place with my painting “Last Flowers of the Season” 🙏🥹🥰🥰🥰

It was the last painting I started of the week, and was of the barn I’ve passed every morning for the past 8 years during school drop off, calling to me to paint it, and I finally did it! I’ve also never painted anything so big en Plein air, and it was THRILLING. I stood outside under the lift-gate of my car for almost 6 hours to get this capture.

Thank you to our judge @sheadanielyoungblood for the honor and thank you to @inspiredmindsarts @tandemartspartnership and @cityofbudatx and @visitbudatx @discoverbuda.tx for hosting this event so that artist like myself have a place to get out, shake our stuff, and engage the community - this is such a great job and city 💕🫶

If you need quality frames built locally, like the one I have on this painting, hit up my friend in San Marcos @jobsonmatt of @pet_paintings_by_mathew_jobson 🖼️

A fun day kicking off the 1st day of the Buda Plein Air week at one of the sweet properties we were given permission to paint at in Buda! I have a bit to work out in my painting, but I can’t wait to see how I decide to problem solve it all! Pushing paint around whilst being outside is chef’s kiss 🤌🎨🖼️

I’m excited to be a featured artist at Texas Land Conservancy’s Art for Conservation! Art for Conservation is a one-night art showcase and fundraiser featuring artwork inspired by the beauty of Texas’ wild places. Proceeds benefit both the participating artists and Texas Land Conservancy’s mission to protect land and connect people to nature. I’m excited to share my artwork with the public and hope you’ll join us Sunday, November 1, from 3–7 pm at Austin Winery for an evening of art, community, and conservation.

Thanks in advance for hosting @theaustinwinery ! by @gena.destri

Hi! I’m doing my best to create more than I consume, which I admit I haven’t been very good at lately. I’m so very grateful to the @outdoorpainterssociety for planning this paint out at @mayfieldparkatx on a day when I could attend! It was great to meet other artists, catch up with old friends and problem solve with paint 🥰
