On Monday, our TLC Stewardship Manager welcomed Gena Destri, one of our featured artists for Art for Conservation, to Los Madrones, a TLC-protected property in the Hill Country! 🎨🌿

Gena visited the property to find inspiration for an original piece she’ll be creating for our November 1 event. We can’t wait to see how the beauty of Texas’ landscapes inspires her work!

Join us for Art for Conservation on November 1 from 3–7 pm at The Austin Winery. We hope to see you there! 💚RSVP for your spot at the link in our bio under "Join Us for a TLC Event".

Meet the wonderful, Gena Destri Keffer 💚

Gena teaches Art Exploration for kids & adults, and offers private lessons at @inspiredmindsarts

Since age 13, she has been working towards being an artist. Nowadays, you can find her mostly doing Plein Air or on site landscape painting!

“I set a date and time to go out on location with whatever gear I decide to bring with me. I do a small composition and value sketch, squeeze out my paints, and find the biggest, most summarized shapes and colors that I can lay in before I start figuring out what details must be there to communicate what I’m seeing, and what can be left vague.”

Sign up for Gena's classes at www.inspiredminds.art/classes and follow her art at Genadestri.com or @gena.destri

Thank you for all that you do and all that you are Gena! ⭐

I am going to miss this incredible group of ridiculously talented, strong, amazing and beautiful women! This art group has inspired me to push my creativity beyond what I ever thought was possible. Our weekly art prompts, sharing our projects, and cheering each other on have challenged and inspired me in so many ways. I’m so grateful for the encouragement, friendship, and inspiration we’ve shared! 💕
