Used the Inbody machine for the first time. Knew I was out of shape, but not 20% bodyfat out of shape. Also did my first Pilate session on a reformer. Yikes, I am tight. Hips locked up. And as painful as it was, post session, my hips, knees and ankles felt great. I could walk the dogs with no pain. The journey of a thousand miles starts with that first step. On this day I'm 1918, Dan Daly famously said "Come on you son of a bitches, do you want to live forever." By the end of the day, the Marines had gained a foothold in the southern edge of the woods, but the cost was staggering. The Marine Corps suffered 1,087 casualties (killed or wounded) on June 6 alone—a single-day loss greater than the entire history of the Marine Corps combined up to that point.

The fighting continued for another 3 weeks. The fierce, relentless fighting spirit of the Marines earned them a legendary reputation. According to Marine Corps lore, the terrified German troops referred to them as Teufelhunden—Devil Dogs—a nickname that remains a fierce point of pride for the Corps to this day. Following the victory, the French government officially renamed the shattered forest Bois de la Brigade de Marine to honor the men who broke the German advance. by @generalklee

Another season of the @trainalta in the books. From Registered Nurses, Systems Engineers, Analysts, waitress, ballroom dancers, skateboarders, students, Police officers.
