About a year ago I told @heyitschrislee that I wanted an animatronic Medusa wig for Dragon Con. She got back burnered for the PHM build, but only for a few weeks!

Version 1 turned out great, but needs some adjustments for comfort and to add more snakes! No notes on my Purse-eus because @bobaskoro was an excellent model!

Premiered at @enchantedescapessd Night of the Olympians event last night. I was very impressed with the event and had a fantastic time meeting folks and making new friends!

@atlanta_aquarium never disappoints with their Saturday Night at @dragoncon Nesta had a fantastic time dancing with friends and reading some smut with the whale sharks in an alcove.

Also, it was hilarious timing that when I went searching to catch up with Chris, the big room was playing “Where is My Husband?”

@dragoncon decorated the Marriott elevators this year and I was spotted 3 times! First is Wasp in the front of the Marvel shoot in 2018, then Penelope Pittstop in the parade in 2013 and finally when I got my crown for Deanna Troi in 2021!

Here’s an extended look at the outstanding craftsmanship by my loving wife and partner @generalleah that went into scratch-building the undersuit, boots, gloves, and neck seal. Without her hard work and dedication to accuracy and wearability for these crucial components of the costume, I would only have a pile of parts to show.

SHOULDER BELL SOFT GOODS INTEGRATION

@generalleah comes through again with precision integration of the fabric, straps, and stitching over the printed shoulder bell parts. The straps wrap through holes in the flexible TPU/rubber-like pattern layer just like in the original.

Today is my dear husband’s (@heyitschrislee ) birthday! He’s been working so hard on his @projecthailmary EVA suit for upcoming @dragoncon that I felt a themed gift was in order!

We both really loved the Taumeoba harvesting scene in the film, so I had a still printed on canvas, added silver foil titles, black end papers and double sided sheet adhesive. I also found a maker on Etsy who printed two Rocky bookmarks (@bear3dprinting ), and another maker on Etsy that designed the card. And of course the paperback copy of Project Hail Mary by @andyweirofficial

This is only my second attempt at making a book cover. It went on a tiny bit crooked, but I’m still really happy with it!
