My daughter had asked to have her and our dog participate in one of my videos…so here we are!!

This took quite some time to get everyone ready and coordinated (as much as they could be! 😂 )

She already also loves to get dressed up and has been the lucky recipient of a couple pairs of fancy shoes I’ve purchased which have been too small for me (mislabeled online).

Not sure how much I’m looking forward to her being my size and wanting to borrow my clothes when she’s a teenager though!! 😝

In the end, it was fun to create with my mini me and she was thrilled with the end result.

Part 2 -

Further to my post yesterday, I’ve now come up with 3 styles in an attempt to make this vintage 70’s dress feel less Victorian era costume-like.

I’ve always loved this dress, which belonged to my Mom but, I’ve never just worn it.

Well, the baba ganoush is officially made, and let me tell you… 🤤❤️

I’m thoroughly enjoying it with warm naan bread, homegrown cucumber slices, red pepper, my own sweet pickles, aged cheddar, peperocini peppers and a few olives.

There’s something so satisfying about putting together a little spread like this and enjoying all those different flavours and textures. And that fresh, homemade baba ganoush? I could honestly eat it by the spoonful! 😂

Sometimes the simplest dinners are the absolute best. 🫒🍆🥒❤️

Sometimes, all it takes is one little find at Walmart to decide what’s for dinner! 🍆😍

I came across some eggplant today and immediately knew what I was making tonight… homemade baba ganoush with warm naan bread! 🙌🏻

There’s just something about fresh, homemade baba ganoush that hits differently. That smoky, creamy, garlicky goodness is SO ridiculously good that honestly, I could skip the naan altogether and eat it straight out of the bowl with a spoon! 😂🤤

Simple ingredients, fresh flavours, and a dinner that makes me ridiculously happy. ❤️

Tell me I’m not the only one who gets excited about food like this! 😆🍆🫓

Just another glamorous day in the life of a cake designer. 💁‍♀️😂

I’m in the kitchen making my cake batters for the week, dressed in my finest workwear: joggers, a T-shirt and, of course… the ever-so-fashionable hair net. 👩‍🍳✨

Because baking is SO GLAMOUROUS. 😂

There’s flour on my shirt and somehow flour across my forehead 😆

But, this is the reality behind all of those Pinterest-worthy cakes. 🎂✨ It takes strength, hard work, patience and dedication to turn an idea into something beautiful.

And yes… I’ll probably have flour somewhere on me that I won’t discover until tomorrow. 😂

A little something I learned this weekend that I wanted to share…

A customer picking up an order told me that they had actually found me through social media, but had been hesitant to follow me, like my posts or comment because they were worried I might think they were “too much” or that they were somehow online stalking me. 😂

My response was, “Please! Follow me! Like my posts! Comment! I WANT you here!” 😂❤️

And honestly, that’s a message I want to put out there to anyone else who may be watching from the sidelines.

Please interact with my content. Like it. Comment on it. Share it. Follow along. Tell me what you think. You are absolutely not bothering me — quite the opposite!

Divorce is hard on so many levels, and I’m working my butt off to support myself and keep building my little business. But life is expensive these days, and sometimes it feels like there’s never quite enough money to go around.

One of the unexpected bright spots for me has been realizing that the things I share here — my cakes, my behind-the-scenes chaos, my ridiculous kitchen dance parties, my stories and just little pieces of my everyday life — are actually starting to help support me financially through social media.

So when you like, comment, share or simply stop by to see what I’m up to, it really does make a difference.

You’re not being nosy. You’re not being “too much.” You’re helping support a small business owner who is working her butt off to build a life for herself. And for that, I am genuinely so grateful. ❤️

One of my favourite things about fall evenings is how dramatically the light can change in just a matter of minutes. 🍂✨

All of these photos were taken within minutes of each other, but facing completely different directions—and the lighting in each one looks like it was taken at a totally different time of day.

Same evening. Same few minutes. Completely different light. 🌅

There’s just something so beautiful about the way the fall sky and evening light can transform depending on which way you turn.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who left such kind, positive comments on my post yesterday, and to those of you who reached out privately. It was honestly exactly what I needed, and your kindness helped me get through today more than you probably realize.

Now that my workday is complete, I’ve had some time with my daughter, and I finally have a quiet moment to myself, I’m able to really take in just how much support was there for me.

This community is truly something special. The encouragement, kindness, humour, positivity and genuine care you all show never goes unnoticed.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to fix anything—you just need a little reminder that there are good people in your corner. Yesterday, you were those people for me. 🥹❤️

🍗 Is it cake… or is it KFC? 🍗

This one might have you doing a double take. 😂

A life-size, realistic bucket of fried chicken… except every single piece is actually CAKE! 🎂

The “chicken” pieces are made from cake pop mix, shaped by hand and coated in graham cracker crumbs to create that crispy, fried-chicken look. 🍗✨

And yes… it’s completely edible!

I absolutely love cake designs that make people stop and wonder, “Wait… what am I looking at?” 😂

This was definitely one of those cakes! ❤️
