POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last month, @mrblakemartin captured my last day of being 30 (now I’ve had time to get used to saying “I am IN my thirties” instead of “I’m like, 30” when trying to be all grown or whatever). Special shoutout to @pepastan_josh for forging the pockets you see featured here, they really carried the whole photoshoot tbh. Might drop the velvet ones from this session when y’all are least expecting it. 😈 by @genitophoto

ALTERNATIVE ROYALTY

Jesse Genito’s portraits honour queer performance as an act of devotion, spectacle, and collaboration.

“Absurd, regal, subversive, and deeply alive.”

Rooted in Chicago’s worlds of drag, burlesque, pole, clown and fringe performance, the series frames its subjects as alternative royalty. Not waiting for a crown — deciding you already wear one.
Here, queer expression is not only witnessed. It is elevated.

Dawn Xiana “BLADE” Moon
Sword Singer of The Newport
Perished of Shrieking Eels 😔

Happy Birthday to my fellow Virgo, @dawnxianamoon!! I might have two bajillion live show stills of Dawn, but these images from the Newport Crew project really capture her badassery. Her portrait hangs in the hallway of @thenewporttheater amongst our crew!

The iconic @big.choosey wearing the iconic biblically accurate angel headpiece by @just_josh127 🪽

This is a model I trust to pull up with a suitcase of outfit choices I’ve never seen before, and have something that works perfectly. 😩

I did have to learn some new photoshop techniques for this, but it was worth it. 🫡

(Very grateful I got to see this act live on stage before Vegas! The stage presence was everything!! I remember telling someone next to me it was PEAK Dahlia!)
