Rounding out our spotlight on guest feature performers for The Uncanny Attic: Chapters I-L are our Movers from the Very Good No-Nonsense Moving Company- Josh Levine and Mackenzie Shapiro!
🔦
Meet Josh Levine! 📦 For the past fourteen years, Josh has wandered the theatrical landscape of Chicago as an actor, musician, and musical director. He performs with GOON working both as a touring and devising actor and Clown, and serves as Co-Artistic Director of Yeda Theatre Company.
🤡
Meet Mackenzie Shapiro!📦 Mackenzie is a performer, producer, and teaching artist at Newport Theater. Mackenzie moves between the worlds of clown, burlesque, stand-up comedy, and sketch. Though her work has carried her to audiences around the world, Chicago has become her home, where her singular blend of raunchy silliness found her nominated for Chicago Reader's Best Comedian in 2024
🤡
Next Friday, October 30th at 10PM at Chicago's Newport Theater is the LAST chance to see Josh and Mackenzie and the rest of the amazing cast and crew for our FINAL Halloween Eve special performance!
🎟
Hurry and grab your tickets for the 10pm show- the 7pm is already SOLD OUT! Ticket link and info in bio!

Karma Carnelian is a gender-bending acrobat of extraordinary talent and creature of all planes of movement - ground, sky, the void!
🌝
Performing as a burlesque, drag, and circus artist, and working as a choreographer and instructor, Karma has performed extensively and is the ‘24 Land of the Sky Winner for Best Stage Presence.

As we countdown to our LAST TWO PERFORMANCES of The Uncanny Attic: Chapters I-L on Friday, October 30th at Chicago's Newport Theater we are honored to reveal the cast photos taken by none other than Genito Photography!
📸
'I is for Ida, who drowned in the lake...' played by Mz. Love!
🌊
Mz. Love is a seasoned dancer, theater artist, choreographer, and occasional clown. Mz. Love began her artistic adventures in Hawaii and has spent more than twenty years performing, producing, and making art across the United States.
💃🏽
She currently performs with Seeds of Samba Chicago and Cuerpos Libres, bringing considerable movement, theatricality, and just the right amount of mischief wherever she goes.
😉
When not onstage, Mz. Love can be found as a nonprofit director, managing grants and education programs, and generally attempting to improve the world through philanthropy.
🌎
In the remaining hours, she favors travel, nature, bodies of water, DIY interior design, and the company of her cat, whose opinion on all of this has not been made public.
🌊
How Mz. Love came to the attic is uncertain. Perhaps after twenty years in the theater, it simply seemed like the next logical place to go.
