Meet Eduardo Cabrera, Commercial Manager overseeing sustainability with Volcafe Guatemala. 🇬🇹☕️

Eduardo has spent an incredible 23 years with Volcafe, including 17 years with Volcafe Guatemala, giving him a unique perspective on how the coffee industry and our work have evolved over the years.

One of his favorite parts of the job is being a link between coffee producers and roasters, having conversations on both sides of the supply chain and helping make coffee production more sustainable and accessible.

He’s also been around long enough to watch Genuine Origin grow, and he gave us a little hint that there are some exciting projects with the Guatemala team coming our way soon!

Watch to meet Eduardo, hear about his journey, and learn why those connections from producer to roaster matter so much.

When the green coffee restock arrives exactly when you need it!

@burningoakscoffee had nearly 200 lbs of coffee to roast for wholesale orders, upcoming markets, and a fall festival when two key coffees for their blends showed up right on time.

We know how important it is for roasters to have the coffee they need when things get busy, so we love seeing those Genuine Origin boxes arrive at just the right moment!

Thanks for the shoutout, @burningoakscoffee, and for taking us along for another busy roasting day. Now get roasting!

A few snapshots from a pretty special couple of days. ☕️📸

Coffee, conversations, collaboration, good food, lots of laughs, and most importantly, time together.

Just a little scrapbook of memories from our Volcafe North America gathering. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can all be in the same place again!

After two days of conversations, presentations, collaboration, coffee, and finally having the whole Volcafe North America team together, there was only one way to wrap things up: with food and drinks!

Our final dinner was a chance to enjoy good food, raise a glass, keep the conversations going, and celebrate the people behind everything we accomplished together.

A pretty perfect ending to a very special two days.
Until next time!

Milestone celebrations are even better when our coffee community joins us! ☕️

While Volcafe and Genuine Origin were celebrating some pretty exciting milestones, our friends from @kestrelcoffees in Vermont stopped by the office to spend some time with us.

And when coffee people get together, you know a cupping is going to happen.

Thanks for making the trip, sharing the cupping table with us, and capturing this moment! We loved having you here.

This is what bringing the whole team together looks like. ☕️

Collaboration, education, coffee talk, and plenty of time to connect face to face.

Bringing the entire Genuine Origin and Volcafe North America team together gave us the opportunity to step outside of our usual routines, learn more about what different teams are working on, exchange ideas, share our expertise, and learn from each other.

There’s a lot of knowledge across this team, and even more value in getting everyone in the same room to share it.

Coffee is what brings us together. The people and relationships are what make it all work.

Let’s talk coffee hot takes!

We asked members of our team: What’s your most controversial opinion about coffee?
The answers might not start any feuds, but we have a feeling coffee people will have some opinions about them.

Watch to see where our team stands, then tell us: What’s YOUR most controversial coffee opinion?

Let’s discuss in the comments!

For the first time, the entire Volcafe North America team was together in one place. And we had some pretty great company!

Over two days, our team had the chance to connect across departments, exchange ideas, learn from each other, cup some incredible coffees, and strengthen the relationships behind the work we do every day.

We also welcomed friends and family of Volcafe to join us, making the time together even more special.

Because at the end of the day, coffee is about people and relationships, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the people who are part of ours.

Here’s a little look at our time together!
