BTS for the design translation of the @sydneyswans Guernsey X @lifebloodau

@mcsaatchigroup approached us with a concept for the campaign.

Testing guernsey scale and proportions in the studio.

Engaged @composite.sydney for large scale 3D printing in PET.

A manufacturing solution that made this form and the transparency possible.

@composite.sydney printing the first prototype.

Refinements were made to the collar to prevent warping in the production process.

A v-like pattern was added. This facilitated easier printing and also improved the function of liquid drainage.

Experimenting with formulations and additives that would balance realistic blood with the @sydneyswans colours.

Testing formulations with the 3D printing pattern.

Refining colour to be more pink and light, as the exterior darkens the colour.

The form is contact clarity, meaning you can see through only when something is touching the surface.

Campaign shoot to capture photo and video that would be used across billboards and bus stops throughout the campaign.

Donated blood lasts just 42 days.

A partnership between @sydneyswans X @lifebloodau

To highlight the urgent need for regular donations, the Swans and Lifeblood transformed Round 24 into Round 42.

A clear Swans jumper is filled with blood-coloured liquid and over 42 days, it will slowly drain. Every day the message becomes harder to miss.

Hip-healthy baby floor and booster seat by @hip_and_co

Founder Bree created hip & co after her first child was diagnosed with hip dysplasia - an under-recognised condition that affects around 1 in 10 babies with hip instability, with around 1 in 100 requiring treatment.

Through this experience, Bree discovered there were no suitable local products designed to properly support healthy hip positioning - only DIY solutions and a limited number of options overseas.

We worked closely with Bree to design a seat suitable for babies undergoing treatment for hip dysplasia, as well as those simply needing better hip support.

The design process included in-depth research, concept development across form and key features, collaboration with experts, extensive prototyping, user testing, and optimisation for manufacturing.
