GGBY 2022

Certainly feeling the fomo seeing friends doing cool sick shit out in the desert this year. Especially with GGBY being back in true from. The dreary and wet November in Van = fantastic ski season this year, but still takes a toll with the minimal amount of sunlight. Seeing these shots from 2022 lets me know one thing: the desert is home for November. See y'all next year :)

Waking up at sunrise, the only one of the crew to go to bed at a decent time the night before, Mat got to experience one of the most magical alpine sunrises.
A true of and pillar of the community, drone pilot extraordinaire, and the one who got the NOTAM approved on time. A great pack donkey who’s always eager to explore what’s possible, encourage his friends and push what’s possible.
So stoked it all worked out to give us a chance to experience this magic.

Moments like this feel a lot more rare these days. Finding something new and scary in the familiar, with the right amount of uncertainty to make the end goal that much more special. We hiked up in the morning with way too much gear, but not knowing what the anchors would be like made it necessary. The suffering of the steep approach and precarious scramble with 50+lbs packs was rewarded with the most satisfying sense of accomplishment I hadn't felt in a very long time. Let's make these moments less rare.

2024.03 - Tonsai, Thailand

When I first learned about highlining 10+ years ago, I remember seeing photos of highlines in Thailand, rigged on stalactites and tufas, overlooking the emerald waters. Stoked to have checked this off the list. 3 hour roadtrip from Phuket to have a chance on the shortest but picturesque line was totally worth it. Thank you @gmeinersarah for waiting for us and leaving the rig up. You are a gem :) and I got my sister @carmshito on her first highline. I'll help you tick off bucket list items anytime.
