POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For the past few weeks, I’ve been playing the latest Adam Guettel score! It’s called Millions! We are in previews and we open on Thursday! It’s been an incredible opportunity because it’s also my first time originating a drum book at this level! Musically it’s one of the most interesting yet challenging scores I’ve ever encountered! Unique grooves, harmony and phrasing!! Thanks to Adam Guettel, Kim Grigsby, and Jamie Lawrence for the opportunity to play this music!! Thanks to Marc Miller for the call to come down here as well! Thanks to Julia for her support!! What a way to start summer!!

These past few months I’ve had the privilege of playing with the great bassist Chip Jackson!! He played with Elvin Roy Haynes, Horace Silver as well as Dr. Billy Taylor! Just wanted to give him a post of thanks because I’ve learned a lot by playing with him and hearing his legendary stories of working with my heroes! Thanks for the knowledge and for seeing something in me to improve!! #drummer #lessonslearned #bassist #thanks #greatstories taken in NYC by @germanngreg

Our artist faculty member @germanngreg brings so much great music, enthusiasm, and information to the table for these kids! We are very lucky to have him here! 🙏🏻🎶

Greg gave a STELLAR brush class, coached drum covers, taught fundamentals, and imparted tremendous wisdom to our camp students throughout the week.

Remember, you can sign up for drum 🥁 AND piano 🎹 lessons with Greg this fall! He’s a truly wonderful musician, mentor, and instructor.
