A few months before the @powerhouse_women event I had a crystal clear vision of me standing on stage wearing no makeup, in black leggings and a t-shirt, sharing a different version of myself than I had previously shared.

I never questioned the vision. I knew it would convey more of my journey than any words I could say.

But in my vision I also saw a video that would play before I walked out on stage and couldn’t quite get a clear picture of it until I met with my brilliant friend @suebrycephotographer about filming an episode for her new show, which would include a photo shoot with her.

”Anything you can envision, we can create” she said.

I told her I wanted to celebrate all versions of me—the raw, stripped down beauty of a woman owning her truth without apologizing for it, and the full range of self expression I LOVE to explore through fashion and makeup etc too.

I hadn’t told her anything about what I was planning for the opening of the event and yet, as we talked through the vision for the shoot, I realized THIS was the opening video I saw in my vision.

I told her “THIS is what is supposed to open the event.”

Without hesitating she smiled and said, “I know” 😉

I can’t wait to share the full episode we filmed for her show 🤍 but this sneak peek is what played for the opening of the event (edited by the amazing creative genius @gersons.lopes!!)
