We just raised £4.6m 🚀

Our founder @andrewsteele won Olympic bronze in 2008. As an athlete, he had a full team of specialists keeping him at his best. When he retired, that all disappeared - and his health went backwards.

So he built Stride to give everyone that level of care.

StrideOne tests your DNA, gut microbiome and bloods, then a dietitian turns your results into a plan you can actually stick to. Plus supplements we make ourselves, matched to you.
16,000+ members so far. 85% have stayed with us.

This funding means more members, more science, a new biological age test, and a bigger team.

Huge thanks to @arayaventures, Better Ventures, Morgan Stanley Inclusive and Sustainable Ventures, Innovate UK, our angels - and everyone who’s joined us so far 🧡

Everything until now was the warm-up. Let’s go 🏃

Data already shapes how I train, recover and perform — now I’m taking it one step further. 🧬

Blood test gifted by Stride. For 10% off use my code: VALE

I’ve told hundreds of women to get their bloods tested. Last week it was my turn.

Most of my results were really good. With PCOS I work hard to ovulate every month, and my progesterone suggests I did. My blood sugar is great. My testosterone came back just under range and my SHBG is on the high side, which for PCOS is a good place to be.

One liver enzyme, AST, was slightly flagged, but I’d trained beforehand and it can shift after a workout.

One result did stop me: my Lipoprotein(a) is high. It’s a genetic heart risk marker, there isn’t much you can do to change it, and it isn’t routinely tested on the NHS, so I never knew before. It’s a nudge to look after my heart, and I’d so much rather know at 35 than 55.

Microbiome and DNA results are still to come.

If you’re always the one looking after everyone else, this is your nudge to get yourself tested.

Who else puts themselves last? I know the mum‘s and Small business owners will be the first ones to relate. taken in London, United Kingdom by @get_stride

Sourdough is baked, most shelf sauerkraut is pasteurised, and beer and wine do nothing for your gut, so a lot of what gets sold as fermented has no living cultures left by the time you eat it. 🧫

The ones worth buying are live kefir, raw kimchi, live yoghurt and miso, and heat kills the cultures in all of them, so add them cold or right at the end of cooking. You don't need £9 kombucha, and a couple of servings of the living stuff most days is a good place to start.

Swipe for how to pick each one and keep it alive. Fermented foods change the mix of bacteria in your gut, but you can't feel that happening, and a gut test shows what's actually living in there. It's 35% off in the September sale, link in bio.

Guye Adola won Berlin on Sunday in 2:02:50, and Tigst Assefa took the course record in 2:11:04, missing the women’s world record by 68 seconds after slowing in the final two kilometres. 🧬

Even at that level, the last few kilometres are where a marathon gets hard. Over 26.2 miles it tests your fuel, your aerobic engine, your gut and your recovery, and each one responds to training once you know which is your weak link.

Swipe for what a marathon does to your body and how to train each part. If you want to see where you stand, our blood, DNA and gut tests are 35% off in the September sale, link in bio.

Ageing well isn’t just about losing fat, it’s about the muscle you keep 💪

Most of the sugar from a meal ends up in your muscle, and with age it becomes less responsive to the signals that tell it to build. That’s called anabolic resistance. Swapping tea and toast for a protein bagel or a Greek yoghurt bowl is an easy place to start, since it gets you towards 30g of protein early in the day. by @get_stride
