Happy 13th birthday 🎂 to my best furrand! My little side kick full of sass & personality. I love this little baked bean an all adventures we go on. 💕 she goes just about everywhere with me. Tho in her senior years she way less interested in the car and spends most of the day chasing sunbeams to lay in instead.

Character disguise makeup application 🖌 whilst its far from perfect, im pretty pleased with the outcome of this look. This was done using all generic stock prosthetics, no test fittings, nothing custom made except the brows. Just lots of cutting trimming and patching to make things work, the best i can🤘

I brought various generic nose prosthetics and went with the one that fit the best, the eyebrows were hand tied lace pieces i made.

I do low key wish I had cut the lace beard down a bit shorter 🤔✂️ but i was using it to disguise his existing facial hair and needed to meet a time deadline so I stopped at this length.

✨️✨️Pro tip for booking a transformation sfx makeup or character look : If youre planning a prosthetic makeup application for your feature film, YouTube, vertical video whatever... if its possible and in your budget, plz give your artists a dav to do a screen test /makeup test. It will make things so much faster on the dav . an helps us to eliminate issues and truly perfect the look

Tho I do love the challenge of a last min on the fly work with what you have vibe. It brings out the real ingenuity and creativity of the craft for me lol 🤓🖌🎨 Special effects makeup artist turns man into a new character with several facial prosthetics an a bald cap. Do you like seeing the final results of special effects makeup looks or the bts shots of me working weird gigs and big events more?

This is all fake bodies, its not realllll but it IS hand made in real life.

So like... what do yall do to unwind?

Ya ghoul took a few days off for a stay-cation..but tbh Ive still ended up at the studio or editing content for most of it 🤣😅
I did play some tetris..and tend to to my mini Forrest of plants tho.🌱🪴🌿🌾🌵

I love this setup. . But tbh i re organize my kit an swap bags like every other gig. Since i do many different types of projects, music videos, live events and activations, film and tv, commercials, private applications for content creators and YouTube..
My kit gets scaled up or down to accommodate each projects needs and minimize the weight i have to carry.

My zuca is still a ride or die tho and comes on almossssstttttt every gig. 🙌

Tbt to some Behind the screams: getting these 2 ghouls makeup ready for their pro photo ops with their fans at Astronomicon. I did Sid's captain Spaulding clown makeup at dozens of conventions an this particular show i got to do @choptopmoseley 's otis Driftwood makeup as well!!! 🤘 what a treat to bring such iconic horror characters back to life

I miss sid, his sarcasm and sass always made working long show days more fun for me. 💕 sending big thug hugs to @remembering.sid.haig
