A time was had today :)

Hey yall! It’s your boy Damien, with a special message:

I’m so back 😎

It’s been quite a while since the last meetup. It’s been a while since I’ve felt like doing them.

Feeling like the world is crumbling and there’s nothing you can do about it will do that to a guy.

But things have changed. If you’re new here, I’m Damien and I’m really good at helping people make friends. The formula is very simple: if you feel safe, welcomed, and right at home, making friends is just a byproduct. It’s an inevitability.

Funny enough, I think by trying to “modernize” the experience of just meeting great people in a welcoming environment, I lost sight of that. (Readi app trauma 😆)

So app plans? On pause. Meetups with dynamic, creative, quality people? We’re back on that vibe.

We’re keeping things simple. The best things in life tend to be that way. Stay tuned to @getreadi on the lookout for the next meetup! It will be very soon. Make sure to invite a friend.

Thanks for being on this journey with me. Let’s save the world through friendship. - D taken in Make Ready Market by @getreadi

San Antonio has a new festival in town for the WHOLE family to enjoy — celebrating music, faith, and community 🎶

@riseonsocial hosted their inaugural RISE MUSIC FESTIVAL at the @vibeseventcentersatx

From panel convos to food truck finds, art vendors to featured artists, this was one of the most soul-filling, highly-produced, family-friendly festivals I’ve been to. And y’all — I got to make a 5-minute doc capturing the people who make this possible.

The Rise Music Festival Featured:
@djjarred @vocabulous @relentofficial @rapsociety.co SO @riseworshipco @jarrellfmg Damaris Guerra @tedashii @kingskaleidoscope

Shout-Out to everyone who did on the spot interviews for the making of this #minidocumentary

And if you were at the Festival or recognize someone from the video who isn’t already tagged — mention them in the comments!

Curious about meditation, yoga, breath work, and other wellness activities, but don’t know where to start?

We’ve got you! Join us on Tuesday, May 13th from 6:30p-8p for “Just Breathe”: a free meetup for anyone interested in exploring a yoga, movement, and mindfulness practice.

A huge thank you to @laurenpetermanmason who offered to lead this workshop! Lauren is a yoga therapist with extensive experience teaching people from all backgrounds and physical abilities. She focuses on creating an atmosphere that is inviting, non-judgmental, and informative, with no pressure and no nonsense.

So, whether this is your very first time trying yoga, or you’ve got a few years under your mat (hehe) this group is completely accessible, unbiased, and welcoming to anyone who wants to learn—even if you don’t think yoga is “for you.”

This meetup starts with a short introductory experience, paired with plenty of time for questions and discussion. And by the end of the evening you can be sure you’ll leave with new experiences, fresh ideas, and maybe even some new friends.

Free with RSVP (check out our Luma event calendar). We can’t wait to explore and discuss together! Be sure to reach out to us if you have any questions. - Team Readi taken in San Antonio, Texas by @getreadi

“Hey y’all! We’re postponing meetups for April to reorganize and kickoff some things we’ve wanted to do for a while. Personally I’ve had some big life changes too and want to make sure I have the energy and resources to give you guys the best possible friendship experiences. Don’t worry you won’t have to wait too long! We’re back in May 😎 Be safe until next month 🤙🏾” - Damien by @getreadi
