It’s true, I am much happier now that I no longer publish patterns. 😊

It’s the smiles for me…🥹

That moment in time where you can sense that feeling of happiness and accomplishment of making and finalizing a cute little item.

Yes…you did that with your own two hands. And what joy it gives you.

To witness that joy and happiness…is everything to me.

Big thank you to these beautiful ladies who got me back into teaching group classes last July.

I hadn’t taught workshops for several years but when these ladies asked me to teach them how to make crochet purses, I was all in.

At first I was a bit nervous…it had been so long since I last gave a workshop. Would I still have it in me?

But once the workshop started I felt so happy, the students were so eager and enthusiastic, it was such a wonderful experience.

I realized that yes, this is what I should be doing: teaching group classes and workshops.

Thank you @natmines @suzannepearlmutter and Cheryl for getting me back on track. I had forgotten how much I enjoy teaching. 😘

Did you know that I teach group classes and private classes at yarn shop Knitty City in NYC?

I have many returning students who book private classes with me on a weekly basis.

My specialty is creating custom designs for my students. They tell me what they want to make and I help them create a piece from scratch.

All of my returning students have a notebook dedicated to knitting/crochet. We keep meticulous notes since we’re often times not working from an existing pattern.

At this moment I still take new students. Contact Knitty City to book time with me.

Meet Stephanus @beextraknitting. I captured his image right after he finished his crochet bag baby/mini size.

How lovingly he gazes upon his creation! 🥰

Stephanus is an “uomo universale”, a true renaissance man.

He is an avid knitter and crocheter, sews and designs pieces from scratch, an excellent cook, plays several instruments and is a scientist.

I love his passion and insatiable hunger to learn and create gorgeous items.

Stephanus took a private class with me and made a crochet bag in less than 2 hrs. After his first crochet bag he made several more.

Here’s the thing…you can’t just make one bag…you will make many many more!

Meet my beautiful co-worker Jane! @adajanemartin 🥰

Look at her smile right after she finished her crochet bag…☺️

When Jane saw the crochet bags, she wanted to make one to gift to her daughter in law.

I was so honored that Jane took my workshop because she is an avid crafter.

Jane knits, crochets, makes jewelry, knows how to spin, weaves and also does pottery. 😲

Jane always brings such passion where ever she goes, always up for learning new techniques and share with everybody around her.

I want to be like Jane when I grow up…

Jane has been with Knitty City since the beginning and that’s 20 years! 🙏🏼♥️

Anyways, these crochet bags are absolutely great for gifting. And relatively “quick” to make. 🥰

Meet my co-worker Xian @knittingfortherapy She is a die hard knitter.

A bit unsure if she would like it, Xian a die hard knitter, took my crochet bag workshop.

She chose to make the mini/baby bag version and what happened next is nothing short of amazing…

I thought she would crochet just one bag to try.

Instead, Xian went completely gung-ho with crochet! 😱

The one I wear the most…🖤🖤🖤

Look, I love my colorful yarns, but nothing beats my black crochet bag. Hey, I’m a die hard New Yorker. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I LOVE making AND wearing these bags. Easy to make, super cute to wear and they make for great gifts.

I’m offering a 2 session crochet bag workshop at Knitty City.

When: Saturday 10/17 and Saturday 10/24 from 10am to 12pm.

In the 1st session we create the body of the bag.
In the 2nd session we finalize top of the bag with hardware and make the strap.

This will be a small and intimate workshop, I only take 6 students max.

A sparkly sequins yarn to brighten up things. ✨✨✨

Been on the hunt for a good sparkly sequins yarn and found it at @chelseayarns. 👀

I need a good sparkle in my life. Moreover, I need it in my crochet bags.

All I want to create these days are crochet bags.

I love this one in particular, the golden yellow reminds me of Gingko leaves during autumn.

Although I stepped away from publishing patterns, I still design, teach workshops and do private classes.

I may not be that active anymore on Social Media, but I sure am busy in the analog world.

After 8 months of MIA, I’m finally resurfacing on my grid.

What happened?

🌺 I hadn’t been able to knit or crochet since September 2025 because of hand/arm injury.

🌺 My creativity went completely dead because of it.

🌺 Family tragedy, freak accidents, illness and deaths.

It all became too much to carry and I couldn’t show up in any way shape or form here in this Social Media space.

Such is life.

Things go in cycles…we go through the bad cycles as best as we can. We wait patiently for the good cycles to return.

Gingerly, I’m dipping my toe back onto my grid.

And gingerly, I’m starting to craft and teach again as my hand and arm are slowly healing.

What am I into nowadays?

Crochet bag and purses. That’s all I want to do.

I don’t know in what frequency I’ll post on my grid.
