A beautiful blend of nature and history tucked away in Hunterdon County. Lake Solitude was originally created in 1858 to provide power for the local foundry, while also becoming a popular recreational destination.

Today, the lake and its historic dam offer a peaceful setting surrounded by natural beauty. The 1909 spillway is particularly special as it is recognized as the last remaining example of its type of buttress dam in New Jersey.

A little history, a little rushing water, and another beautiful place to explore right here in New Jersey. 🌲✨ 💦🌿

THIS IS OUR BADGE THAT OUR ART IS HUMAN MADE.

SO PROUD TO BE PART OF THE HIGH BRIDGE GROUNDS FOR ART AGAIN THIS YEAR. THE VOLUNTEERS THAT PUT THIS TOGETHER PUT SO MUCH INTO THIS AND IT SHOWS.

THE ARTISTS THAT SHOW UP ARE PROUD, DEDICATED AND PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR WORK. AND YOU COULD SEE IT EVERYWHERE YOU TURNED.

THIS YEARS POSTER WAS DESIGNED BY @rjcalabreseartworks & @theaxmax_ig - IT’S MESSAGE IS SIMPLE. LAZY ARTISTS MAKE A.I ART. DONT BE A LAZY ARTIST. THANK YOU TO ALL THE HUMANS THAT HELPED US PRINT THIS YESTERDAY OVER 90 PRINTS IN 5 HOURS. #humanmade #noai #art #highbridge #galleryundermain @hbgroundsforart @explorehunterdonnj @hunterdonhappening @newjerseyarts @getweirdhighbridge by @getweirdhighbridge

GET WEIRD: Kinda chic to live in a town that has a gnome living inside one of the oldest buildings. Wonder what it looks like inside his home? 🤔
