Funny how one old movie character can bring back an entire piece of your childhood ❤️🥹

The owners of @rascalsalvagevintage have a familiar face in their storage unit at their High Bridge, NJ store. Make an appointment with them to see your childhood's favorite dragon, Falkor, that @maker_junction made.

It is funny how walking into a vintage store can take you back. ✨️✨️

Rascal Salvage Vintage in High Bridge, NJ is a vintage haven of memorabilia from the 80's & 90's with eclectic décor and unique finds. You can also book an appointment to meet Falkor, NJ's Luck Dragon, who brings a whimsical, storybook magic to the space. It’s a shopping experience that surrounds you with things from another time and suddenly, for a moment, you're a kid again.

Thank you, Rascal Salvage Vintage, for the unexpected trip down memory lane. And @maker_junction for creating Falkor.

You never know what you’ll find when driving. What first looked forgotten turned out to be full of creativity, color, and unexpected surprises. 💛🌿

🎨The High Bridge Grounds for Art is a community arts initiative set in the historic TISCO Green Acres property in the heart of High Bridge, NJ. This project emphasizes the preservation of open spaces while making art accessible in a natural setting.

🎨The goal of this evolving project is to transform this outdoor area by integrating art with cultural, historical and ecological elements creating a vibrant and engaging space that enriches the community.

This area began as the central office for the Union Iron Works, founded in 1742 by Philadelphia investors William Allen and Joseph Turner. Served continuously as the general office for the iron and steel company through 1971. Area was vacant from 1971 and was purchased by the Borough of High Bridge in 2006.

The Historic TISCO (Taylor Iron and Steel Company) Office Building in High Bridge, New Jersey, is the oldest building in the state associated with industrial production, with its earliest sections dating back to the 1700s.

Was really interesting to walk around and take in what life is being created on an abandoned property.

Round 2 of photos I took at The High Bridge Grounds for Art. 🎨🖼🎭

After leaving Lake Solitude and on the way to @rascalsalvagevintage we unexpectedly passed this neat looking place and had to make a stop. Upon pulling up, it looked like an abandoned business surrounded by color and cool art but quickly learned this was in fact something of intended purpose.
