পথে পথে সিনেমা | Cinema On The Go | নম্বর ০০২

Last time, we brought people together around a screen. This time, we're taking the screen out into the open, right at Dhanmondi Lake Park.

One takes a closer look at misogyny and the language we use every day, while the other unfolds around family, relationships, and the tensions that surface when everyone comes together. Two films, two different worlds.

Link in bio.

We are humbled to be able to kickstart "পথে পথে সিনেমা: Cinema on the go" in collaboration with @ghar.tera and hoping to hit more spaces around the city soon with our moving cinema theater initiative 🙏🏽

If you also have a space to share with us where we can watch something, talk, question, laugh and breathe together, do let us know where and what kind of space with an approximate capacity, we will try to circle back and show up with our theatre at your doorstep someday 📽️

Sincere gratitude to all our guests for filling our space over the weekend with so much warmth and curiosity and @molla4803 for gracing us with his wit and wisdom along with his memorable creations, it's a privilege to be able to have him among all of us 🌻

Last but not the least, heartfelt gratitude to Ohie+Siam+Sanjit+Jabeer+Hafsha+Manan+Apurbo for pulling this off together as a team 💪🏽 Hoping to witness many more of these moments of magic and madness in the future! 💛 taken in Dwip Gallery by @ghar.tera

Pothe Pothe Cinema: Cinema On The Go

Hey! We, from Dwip Gallery, are incredibly excited to share something we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.

We believe cinema isn’t something just for watching, it should be lived, shared, and questioned. Thus, we are starting Pothe Pothe Cinema, a moving screening initiative designed to be a space that is both safe and intimate.

We imagine this to be a place where we can drop our guards and involve ourselves in the adda, and we’ll of course have film to circle back to.

With this specific installation of Pothe Pothe Cinema, we want to showcase some select films of Molla Sagar. All of you are cordially invited to join us this weekend!

Place: Dwip Gallery, 1/1, Block D, Lalmatia, Ground floor, Dhaka 1207.

G-Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/61UzVKbwXCmisuc88?g_st=ic

When: 6:30 PM

On the Screen:

Friday: “Bhobar Vita”, “Siren”
Saturday: “Dadu”, “Dudh-Koyla”

Since this is a tightly curated, intimate gathering just for our close circle, spots are limited to 50 and served on a first-come first-serve basis. taken in Dwip Gallery by @ghar.tera
