🍂 Thank you to our two wonderful volunteers who took Visenya Tagaryen and Tom Holland to Mission Viejo’s event last weekend.

Adoption events are a wonderful way to get our dogs in front of many eyes in just a couple of hours. We’d love to participate in more, but we are low on volunteers right now.

We are so thankful for the volunteers we do have. GRFF is small, but mighty. 💪🏼

Thank you for following, reposting, donating, adopting, fostering and anything else that goes into supporting a dog rescue. 💛

‼️ Urgent! Georgia Faithpippen needs a new foster home in SoCal!

👒 Through no fault of her own, Georgia is seeking a new foster home. Fosters can live in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Diego counties or the Inland Empire. Other areas considered on a case by case basis.

This gorgeous, five year-old German Shepherd is patient and loving. She loves everyone, including children.

Georgia is potty trained, spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped; she’s perfect!

Georgia has been non-reactive to other dogs and curious about cats, though she hasn’t been close to one that we’ve seen.

She is currently located in Los Angeles. 🚙

Georgia is a great family dog. She is also available for foster to adopt.

🩵 Georgia would make a great addition to any household. PLEASE share her.

If you might be able to foster her, please text 714.924.4733 or email tami@ghettorescue.org

No obligation to talk and ask questions. 🩵

🐱 Petite kitty available for adoption in Kerrville TX.

Pretty Clickbait lived in a field with thirty other kitties in Texas. She was emaciated but friendly when we rescued her. She went straight to our vet, where she ate great, was spayed, vaccinated and loved on by the staff!

Clickbait is in foster and is ready for her forever home! This is a true rescue kitty! She’s playful and is approximately four months old.

Clickbait likes dogs and cats. She’s playful and a dainty six pounds. She’s very curious about everything. She likes some toys, mostly hairbands, and toes under the sheets!

If you’re interested in this beautiful kitty with unique markings, please submit an application on our website ghettorescue.org

Please share Clickbait. We can get her to SoCal if you’re interested in adopting.

💙 Norman is enjoying his Sunday on his new decomposed granite! We were able to get it into his area yesterday and finished.

We raised the covered area by about 12 inches, at least!

Now he can spend a little more time with Dreamy and participate in their domestic incidences that they love!😂

He’s laying down a lot more these days which relieves the pain in his feet. He has a good attitude. He gets up, eats and drinks and some days he walks around a lot! Some days he just rests.

Thank you if you chipped in when we asked to purchase this decomposed granite and the Cloud Boots to make his life more comfortable.🙏🏽

💖 This is Doreen Fundle. She’s one of our forever fosters.

Doreen’s wonderful foster mom gets her groomed and she goes to the vet and gets her monthly medicine. This little granny sleeps a lot and has a loving forever foster home in her retirement. 🩷

Forever fosters are unadoptable for whatever reason; personality, extensive, ongoing medical needs and/or special needs or very old age and no one wanted to adopt them.

When we rescue a dog, we oftentimes know little or nothing about their personality or medical history. The majority of the time we are able to fix them up and find them new homes, but occasionally they just aren’t compatible with adopters. That’s ok though, because when we rescue them, we commit to keeping them safe, even if it means they live as a GRFF dog forever.

If anyone would like to sponsor Doreen‘s monthly care, that would be greatly appreciated. Her ongoing care is approximately $95/month. One time donations are also welcome. Write “Doreen” next to your name or in the message area and we will earmark that money for her.

Thank you to Doreen’s forever foster mom. You truly saved her life. 💐

💔It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of GRFF alumni, Ruby.

We received the following email from the owners’ daughter:

“I am now retired from LAPD and these are my parents. They were fortunate enough to adopt Ruby (aka Trini) a few years ago. This photo was taken at Rampart Division when they had just received her.

It is with great sadness to inform you that Ruby passed away. 😢 She suddenly began to show signs of her not feeling well and as my parents were enroute to her veterinarian, she passed away in my Mom’s arms as she was cradling her. It is still unknown as to what caused her passing.

This has been devastating for my parents as Ruby was a huge part of their lives. They loved her deeply and cherish the years they got to spend with her. ❤️🐶.”

Thank you for letting us know. It is a beautiful photo and we have no doubt Ruby was a spoiled little girl. 🩷

Godspeed, little Ruby. 🌈

We haven’t seen a flea infestation like this in quite some time. These four teeny babies were covered in fleas. Their bathwater was red and brown.

They are feeling great, eating great and have good poops. #texaspuppies #fleas #ltpatexas by @ghettorescue
