Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for the beauty all around me. I have the luxury and privilege of being able to behold and appreciate it. 🖤#beautyiseverywhere #mononoaware #rainyday #drivingintherain #brightlightsbigcity by @ghostenyc

Squares are in baby! Don’t care what nobody says. ◼️

What a week. Got to hear some of best humans share their hearts through music. Dear friends by my side. Enjoyed a gentle rain. Woke up to a colorful sky. Felt the fall sun. Enjoyed food and shelter. When I look at it this way, I can hardly believe my good fortune. Truly. ✨🖤🎶

My heart aches for Maine. I can’t explain it. It just is. 🌲

I wrote this song, “Evergreen” not yet released… it’s a love song written for the trees. 🌲 Produced by @mattanthonyproducer ✨What do you think? Like it? I do. Because 🌲💚

As earth continues to shrug us off like gnats on an elephant’s back, I marvel at its exquisite beauty. And wonder how it is we don’t do all we can to preserve and protect this magnificent planet we share. Mars isn’t calling. Not to me. This faltering place is home.🖤🤍 #earth #perasperaadastra #copingwithcollapse by @ghostenyc

What a special evening. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who came, to the @bedfordplayhouse, to the friends who brought friends, neighbors, family members who travelled long distance, and to the angel @thomobrienmusic who arrived with all the sound equipment!

And thank you to the audience. The love in the room was palpable. In a space that is often noisy with activity, everyone commented you could’ve heard a pin drop!

It was a true honor to share the stories, experiences, and truths behind my songs, and to welcome @jennybrucenyc @ghostenyc into the conversation. She brings such depth and richness through her experiences as an artist, woman, and mother as well.

Our voices and songwriting styles are very different, each bringing its own texture and perspective, yet there is a beautiful thread of connection between us - perhaps roted in our shared Barnard College history, or the many years we’ve spent together in songwriting circles.

Something meaningful happened in that room. For all involved.

I love creating spaces where music, story, and authentic conversation invite people into deeper connection with themselves and one another. There is something profoundly transformative about what becomes possible when we gather in this way.

I have a feeling this is only the first chapter of Inside the Song. ✨

I’ve been wanting to create a songwriter night that feels more immersive, connected, and real than the typical “one song and pass the mic” format… and it’s finally happening.

On Friday June 5, I’ll be hosting Inside the Song at Bedford Playhouse with the incredible Jenny Bruce.

The evening will blend live music, storytelling, and honest conversation — giving each other a space to stay inside the creative flow of our songs while bringing the audience deeper into the stories and experiences behind them.

Really excited about this one ❤️

Purple love. 💜 A Minneapolis weekend including a trip to @officialpaisleypark making some stops at @firstavenueminneapolis and @bunkersbarmpls with a killing bank and the legendary Sonny T. (NPG) on bass. Add time with dear friends and it was divine. What a great artist he was. ☔️💜☔️💜☔️💜☔️💜 #prince #purplerain #iwoulddie4u #princefan #theartist by @ghostenyc

So much to say. Nothing to say. Life sometimes just gets crazy and we don’t prioritize the things that are meaningful to us. Right now, I’m having a really hard time making space for music in my life. And when I sit down to do this, my hair looks crazy, my face looks old and poochy. And frankly, it all makes me laugh. Because who gives a crap!

I really hope you take a minute to do something you enjoy today. And however, insane things are, try to find the humor and the beauty in it. Because life is absurd and beautiful. The successes. The failures. The wrinkles. All of it. I love you.💜#haunted #overfifty #gottalaugh #dowhatyoulovelovewhatyoudo #singersongwriter by @ghostenyc

When you find a recent photo on your phone (I love it, not sure why) and you don’t remember taking it or have any idea where it was taken (no 🍷 or 🥃), you have to ask yourself a question (or two). ⚠️

Do I maybe need to slow things down a bit? 🆘🫠🫥😶‍🌫️😂

That’s a rhetorical question. ☺️

My weekend trip to the Bronx.🚊Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Celia Cruz, Herman Melville, Irving Berlin, Joseph Pulitzer, Nellie Bly, and F.W. Woolworth are just a few of the notable humans buried at the beautiful national historic landmark, Woodlawn Cemetery. Less notably but more importantly to me, so are my parents. ✨🌸 It’s a gorgeous place to visit. Last stop on the 4 Train. Checkout @thewoodlawncemetery ✨🤍 And hit @theramblinghouse for delicious Irish lunch. 💚 by @ghostenyc
