Feeling extra strong with all the love ❤️‍🩹 more updates to come. Thank you @massvethospital for helping me get healthy.

Gigi made it through surgery and is currently stable. The surgeon was able to remove about 90% of the mass, which based on its appearance is most likely cancerous. We won’t know the exact type until the biopsy results come back in about a week, but the surgeon believes it may be carcinoma, the most common form of liver cancer in dogs. If that is the case, her prognosis could be a few more years with minimal to no pain in that area.

She is in the ICU under intensive monitoring and receiving high-dose antibiotics for an abdominal infection. We haven’t been able to see her yet, but we should be able to visit briefly in the morning. The plan is for her to remain hospitalized for the week so the team can ensure she is stabilized.

In just the past 24 hours, her care has already cost over $17,000 and there will be more bills to come. We are overwhelmed by the support we’ve received and are so deeply grateful. Knowing that Gigi is surrounded by so much love has given us strength during this difficult time.

Day 14!!! ❤️‍🩹

The past two weeks have been filled with tears, hugs, and a lot of love as our little family of four soaks up every second together. It is so hard to put into words how devastating this time is. Each day feels like Groundhog Day and we are just wishing for things not to get worse.

She has her first bloodwork this Thursday. She has lost a lot of weight, but her appetite is still so strong! Continuing to pray for a miracle.

Paul Revere Park might just be one of the most underrated spots in Boston. Tucked right under the Zakim, it has wide open green space, riverfront views, and plenty of room for your pup to explore. A little slice of calm right in the middle of the city.

hold your loved ones a little closer. We truly never know what tomorrow may bring, and it’s so easy to get lost in the endless cycle of life. These past few weeks I’ve had to stop and remind myself how blessed I am to feel love this deeply.

Although there might be a crack, I’m still choosing to look toward the light, because as Leonard Cohen wrote, “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”

Day 7 andddddd we got a puppy!!

We thought a little sister might help keep @gigithecreature feeling younger and that a piece of her would rub off on baby Wonka.

Wonka is only 8 weeks old and she came from Connecticut.
