Thank you, thank you, and thank you again✨ Summertime truly flies, and somehow it’s already been more than a month since A Siren’s Tale was set free!!
Bringing Cowboy of the Sea to life with a fully staged album-release show took a village, and alongside the grandiose celebrations were a million tiny details and efforts that paid off in spades. @littlejackfilms worked his magic (as per usual) and put together a recap reel of a day that flew by faster than we could have ever imagined.

here are @gilandwil that's guh-ill and wuh-ill, not jill and will, not will and gillian, not gillian wilch, standing in front of the last 2 buildings at the old farm that haven't been knocked down by the damned frost giants that roam these hills, their eyes glazed crystalline, their hands huge and fierce. but this was shot in warmth of the sun when the frost giants are deep below ground, slumbering, slumbering, their sleepy exhalations giving birth to the winds that carry the blackbirds and robins and prairie chickens along distances great and short. Along with Gil and WIl are the cats Eddie and Shortbread, who do not perform musically but still look very handsome and that is why they are featured in this video that was shot here at little jack farms.

Fiddle Showcase, woo hoo! 🎻 We’re looking forward to Nov. 7 at Grosvenor Church, where we’ll be part of the backup band, alongside Cathy Sproule. This showcase features fiddlers Eve Turner and Joseph Desjarlais, and may include a couple of songs from us! Nora’s Little Jiggers will also be dancing during the show, which is extra exciting!

We’re so looking forward to playing with Emily Dubois tonight! We had the chance to play together for Cathedral Arts Village Festival, and had such a great time. 🎻🌾❣️

Not only do we get to play with her for our Gil & Wil songs, but we get to play with her for all of her fiddle tunes as well!

Tonight’s show is on a beautiful acreage right by Alvena, Sk. There is a pie bar, so lots of treats are to be had! The weather is looking great, treats are being made, and we’re ready to play lots of music!

We had a blast putting on a Vocal Harmony workshop yesterday with @northernlightsbluegrass! The group spent an hour singing and chatting about harmony and ended by singing "Your Love is Like a Flower" all together.

We’ve got a house concert right around the corner on a beautiful acreage outside of Alvena, Sk (45 mins from Saskatoon) with @emilyduboismusic!! 🎻✨🌾

We love playing with Emily and can’t wait to share the stage with her. She’s joining us on fiddle and we’re backing her up for her set, so it’s bound to be a lot of fun!

Wow, what a great time we had at @northernlightsbluegrass last week! 🎶🎻🌲💕 We got to teach the Vocal Harmony class at camp and loved every minute of it. Throughout the week we sang our hearts out, learned a lot (hopefully the students learned something too!!), and laughed our butts off.

When we weren’t in class, we were playing dances, petting kitting, putting on workshops, making new friends, eating delicious food, listening to wonderful music, and enjoying the beautiful forest. What a special week for everyone attending, organizing, and volunteering at the camp/festival. We’re playing on Saturday!🚴🏼💨 The Big Pelican up at Redberry Lake, Sask’s most fun community gravel bike ride. We’ll be playing some tunes, and so will our good buddy @lachlannevillemusic. There’s 20/40/80/120km routes for everyone to cruise (except us, we’ll be happily cheering you on from a stationary location and not on our bikes, hehe) - See you soon!!
