Vocal Harmony Workshop with Gil & Wil 🐎🪻

🗓 Sunday, September 20th, from 12:30-1:30pm
📍at The Bassment (202 4th Ave N, Saskatoon, SK)

Join us for a free vocal harmony workshop, led by this year's sold-out Vocal Harmony class instructors: Holly Gilroy & Aiden McRorie Wilson (Gil & Wil).

Learn how to find harmony notes and practice holding onto them with others singing around you in this workshop. No experience necessary!

Stick around after the workshop for the free open jam at The Bassment (1:30pm-3:30pm) and try out what you've learned! 😊 #yxemusic #nlbot #vocalharmony

Joining us at @saskjazz - on loan from bluegrass duo @gilandwil - is Aiden McRorie Wilson @aiidensthename !

Despite being the only non-dad on stage, she may be bringing the corniest jokes. The beautiful harmonies more than compensate :)

The Big Pelican wouldn’t exist without a community of folks pitching in. A big thanks to Cailan and Brad for holding down the fort with check in/out and course flagging, all of our generous sponsors, Rob and Diane Jones for doing everything and anything, Jenna, the Sheriff of Thickwood Hills, and the entire Englot family for making everything seem possible and pitching in to make it so (from grant writing to aid station hosting to course mowing and volunteer coordinating and food buying), Jon for aiding folks with mechanical issues, the Jasieniuk and Redpath families for keeping people fed and watered, Jeff Hehn, the route maestro for continued support on scheming up the perfect courses, Eric and Blaine Lake Ambulance for donating an EMT and Vehicle for the day, Brayden Elliot for all the rad shots, Fred for keeping folks limber, 9 Mile Legacy for the refreshments, Kris Jones for the morning vibes, Lachlan and Gil & Wil for closing out the day with fantastic tunes, and Sixteen Grains for the pancakes. To everyone who came out, thanks you! Particular thanks to all the friends that have been there since the beginning and helped carry the momentum. Excited for where the flock is headed!
