in my waking dream I had a gym bag with a popular color photo of Richard Harrison (who died last month) & Bob Hover (who died in 2013). they were roommates & physique models in the 1950s. they both become actors -- even appearing in "South Pacific" (altho not in the same scene). & they were part of my early fantasy life. in the dream they morphd from the bag to actual characters. #richardharrison #bobhover by @gildzen

for those meandering thru my papers in years hence there will be multiple mentions of HVD. for the record that's novelist Henry Van Dyke (1928-2011). over a period of 40 plus years we shared so many laughs. today's his birthday. so here's my favorite picture of us. #henryvandyke by @gildzen

this is the last page of a little book I got when I was 12. & yes I wrote to my favorite stars at their studios. I still have many of the photos the studios sent me. just now on the news I heard that that rightwinger has bought Paramount & Warner Brothers. they will merge. it feels sad to me. by @gildzen

a memory pop'd up on FB. a photo Marconi took of the Polaroids at Play 2 years ago. I blew up the one of me with Andy Halliday. I know it's grainy but I suspect the original is no longer with us ( new owners). & it's sweet to see Andy's smile. #andyhalliday #polaroid by @gildzen
