It’s Cover Reveal Day! 📕💥🙌

The rest of the book I’m very excited to share with you will be out in January 2026 but for today here’s a sneak peek at the front cover.

Here’s how publisher @houseofanansi describes it:
“Deacon investigates the nature of uncertainty, discovering that the inevitable state is not only a condition we’re actually built for, but that our best shot at creativity, innovation, and human connection occurs when we radically embrace the uncertainty we habitually struggle against.”

A Love Affair with the Unknown is available for pre-order.
Get it through your local indie bookstore here—https://www.indiebookstores.ca/book/9781487013783/

Get it at Indigo here—https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/a-love-affair-with-the-unknown-leaning-into-the-uncertainty-of-modern-life/9781487013783.html

@rebeecks was taught not to put her therapy on stage. She didn’t listen.

Rebecca Auerbach is a Canadian actor, writer and musician who’s turned her acclaimed one-woman show into a new CBC podcast called Discount Dave (and the Fix). Based on a true-ish story, it starts with a chance encounter with a man claiming to be Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth, before spiraling into a deeper story about addiction, trauma and recovery.

Rebecca sits down with Q guest host @gilldeacon to talk about blending memoir with fiction, and why telling this story was essential to her healing. Episode 1 of Discount Dave (and the Fix) is an official selection of the 2026 Tribeca Audio Festival.

Singing is one of my very happy places. But it hasn’t happened for me in almost a year.
Ever since thyroid surgery last fall I have wondered when and whether I would ever be able to sing again.
A few nights ago, after months of patience and weeks of vocal rehab with the ENT wizards at @st.michaelshospital, I put my singing voice to the test.
You’ll have to ask the dog how it sounded.
All I can say for sure is damn, it felt good to be back with @circumstantialists 🎶
