Phoenix Health Co’s Head of Medicine, Dr Oscar Horky and his great crew welcomed me this week to put my cardiovascular fitness to the test with VO₂ max testing. 🏃‍♀️

Why does this matter?

VO₂ max is one of the clearest markers of overall health and fitness. It measures how effectively your heart, lungs and muscles work together to deliver and use oxygen as exercise intensity increases.

And it’s not just relevant for athletes. ☝️

Knowing your VO₂ max gives you a clear baseline of your cardiovascular fitness, helps shape the right exercise approach for you, and gives you an objective measure that Phoenix team can track over time.

📊 Measure where you are.
🤓 Understand what it means.
👌 Stay ahead.

VO₂ max testing is available at @phoenixhealthco_au , where medicine, movement and recovery are brought together under one roof to help people take a more proactive approach to their health.

HYROX Sydney Open Solo 💫
⏱️ 1:08:55
OV: 42 | AG: 8

I carried a lot into this race, l’ve been so in my head since my last race and probably more nervous for this one than any other. I didn’t feel amazing out there but kept pushing which didn’t seem to be quite enough for a PB this time.
Proud of what this one taught me. 🙏

Grateful to line up alongside so many great athletes.
This sport keeps raising the bar and - after a break - I can’t wait to keep chasing it. 🫶✨ by @ginaleclercc

HYROX BRISBANE ✨ you didn’t disappoint!
@hyroxanz @hyroxworld

It was a fantastic feeling to return to this beautiful city and amazing venue where I had my first solo race in 2024 with a 1:19:38 finishing time.

The obsession started back then to reach my true limits and find my full potential. Along the journey I met some very inspirational athletes, found new friends, changed my mindset, educated myself, learnt from others and most importantly enjoyed the journey!

2 years later, at the same venue I ran a 1:08:44 and feel like I have more to give! Super stoked with an age group win 🥇 and overall 12th place! 🥹

Thanks friends and family for always being there for me!

Bring on Sydney 👉 11 weeks to go! 🔥 @lskd by @ginaleclercc

Run Huskisson half marathon ✅
What a beautiful run! Very well organised event with a flat and scenic route! Didn’t feel confident going in to this run with less preparation than planned but felt strong throughout and could add a bit of push!
Thanks @jesspyers for always being my partner in crime at these events! 🌸 Grateful to my girls who run with me regularly and eventually made me love it! 🏃‍♀️ 😻 @one_more_epic_adventure 💕 by @ginaleclercc

Deadly Dozen 💀 no2 🔥
After a strong training block and last minute annoying cold 🤧happy to show up and get it done ✅ almost… I must say this is my first and hopefully the last DNF 🤦🏼‍♀️
Missed a whole station 🤣 with this little unintentional cheat I did 49:12. Not sure if I would have cracked my previous time of 52:22. HR spiked too much so decided to slow the runs right down and get the station work done quickly.
Next week —-> Huski half marathon 🚀 bring it on! by @ginaleclercc

When the girls are having fun! 🤩 🏃‍♀️ Almost 10 months since I started running with these speedy chicks and every week I really look forward to seeing and chasing them on the track…getting closer bit by bit. 😉
Thanks for the great company ladies! Plus without this session my running wouldn’t have improved as much as it did, so eternally grateful! 🙏 by @ginaleclercc

HYROX MELBOURNE 💫 What an experience!!

The @hyroxanz Melbourne course was fantastic! Well spread out, easy to understand and for the first time the fast lane was respected by everyone. 🤝

So happy to see that all the hard work I put in 👏 paid off. PB in pocket 😎 but the journey is not over! Took my notes, made my calculations and already forming the strategy to get to sub 1hr10mins. 💪

Thank you @brett_le_clerc for enduring my stories about training on an everyday basis🙄🫣🤭 and supporting me on this journey!

My friend and hero, @one_more_epic_adventure , thanks for always pushing, challenging me & putting up with me on my hard days. 🙄
