So… what actually is With Love Live?

Inspired by my upcoming book, With Love, From Your Older Self: The Wisdom You Needed Then to Become Who You Are Meant to Be Now, With Love Live is a three-hour experience designed to help you look at the patterns showing up in your life today and get curious about what might be underneath them.

The people pleasing.
The overthinking.
The need to get it right.
The guilt when you choose yourself.
The part of you that still worries about taking up too much space.

Instead of assuming, “That’s just who I am,” what if you asked:

Is this actually who I am?
Or is this who I learned I needed to be?

You’ll experience my signature talk, You Were Too Young to Decide Who You Are, hear real stories from speakers in the room, reflect, meditate, and write.

You’ll also have the opportunity to write a Love Note to the younger version of yourself who first made one of those decisions and share with them the wisdom you have today that you didn’t have then.

What if some of the things you’ve always thought were just part of who you are… aren’t?

You’ve always been the overthinker.

The person who keeps the peace.

The one everyone can count on.

You say yes when you want to say no, look to others for reassurance, or have a hard time resting when there’s still something to be done.

Sometimes you feel anxious and don’t even know why.

You spend so much time thinking about what everyone else needs that sometimes you’re not even sure what you want.

And somewhere underneath all of that, you want to know what it would feel like to be unapologetically yourself without worrying so much about what everyone else thinks.

Maybe you’ve just thought, That’s who I am.

What if some of who you learned to be then is still shaping how you live today?

This morning, I went for a walk at the same place where I hosted my first solo, in-person event in Cleveland two years ago.

It was a yoga hike called Embrace the Change, and I was surrounded by the most amazing group of people. Many of whom have continued showing up at my events ever since.

Last fall, I hosted Sacred Shifts, a gathering centered around shifting our beliefs, and co-hosted Autumn Awakening, where we explored what it means to change and grow with the seasons.

And now, here I am, a little over a week away from With Love Live, something entirely new inspired by my upcoming book, With Love, From Your Older Self.

It’s pretty cool to look back and see how my work has continued to evolve as I have.

The themes may shift, and the events may look a little different as I continue to grow, but one thing has remained the same…

I absolutely love bringing people together, creating meaningful moments, and helping people see themselves and their lives a little differently.

I’m so grateful for everyone who has been part of these gatherings along the way. The people I’ve met and connections we’ve made are such a meaningful part of why I love doing this.

And one thing is for sure…

I’m just getting started. 🩷

I want to share something that’s been three years in the making…

With Love, From Your Older Self is going to print!!!

Three years ago, this started as a single idea in my notebook during a really hard season of my life. I was navigating grief, learning more about my adoption and the circumstances I was born into, and adjusting to life after a cross-country move with a toddler.

I had no idea how much that idea would change my life. My hope is that it will touch the lives of so many others, too.

Sharing big milestones like this used to be so hard for me.

In third grade, someone called me a “teacher’s pet.” In that moment, I decided that if I shined too brightly, people might not like me.

And I started shrinking.

I carried that belief for almost 25 years. I would downplay my success and the things I was proud of because I believed they could lead to rejection.

Maybe you do this too. You share good news, then quickly add, “It’s really not that big of a deal.” Or you keep something you’re excited about to yourself because you don’t want people to think you’re bragging.

Writing to my younger self helped me see how much that moment in third grade was still shaping my life. It gave me the opportunity to offer younger me the wisdom I have now:

You don’t have to make yourself smaller to be loved.

It also helped me recognize other beliefs I had formed when I was younger that were still running my life as an adult.

That doesn’t mean sharing always feels easy now. But today, I want to let myself be proud and celebrate something I’ve poured so much of my heart and soul into.

Those reflections and Love Notes became the heart of this book.

In a few short weeks, With Love, From Your Older Self is expected to be available for purchase! I can’t wait to share more details about my upcoming book launch soon. For today, I wanted to pause and celebrate this moment with you.

I was on @wkyc3 this morning with @shinedanita talking about With Love Live, and honestly, it felt like such a full-circle moment.

I used to be the person who would take shots before a college presentation because I was so nervous to speak in front of people.

I could barely stand in a circle, say my name, and introduce myself without immediately wanting to pass it to the next person.

And this morning, I sat on television talking about my work, my book, and an event I created.

That is the power of this work.

Little me was still freaking out.

But I could hear that fear, share the wisdom I have now with that version of me, and still choose what felt true.

You were too young to decide who you are. But you’re not too old to decide again.

Are you still shrinking in places where you want to be seen?

Staying quiet when you want to speak?

Questioning yourself when a part of you already knows what feels true?

Maybe a younger version of you is still trying to keep you safe.

You can hear the fear, share the wisdom you have now, and choose differently.

That is what we’re going to explore at With Love Live.
