Quick run thru the local Walmart and found these goodies. Love me some @ericolsengames so grabbed Star Catcher and yet another version of Flip7 because why not — side note we have an extensive collection of Uno but I do believe Flip7 could compete if this keeps up 😂

I also picked up Cat Between Us @theopgames because CATS of course. I think Im in my small game box phase… maybe.

🍁 Have you found any small box games lately?

🌸 Game: Botany War of the Posies from @duxsomnium

🌸 Really enjoying this one right now. First off the art is beautiful! Played with two and then four players. It felt just a bit too long at four player for a card game. (Granted that might just be me) Two player was a quick paced game with very little downtime. I suspect three may be the sweet spot.

I wish there was a solo variant so I have been playing around with a few ideas. We shall see. 😉

🌸 Discovering card likenesses in Botany War of the Posies in the garden. Such a beautiful game for flower lovers and gardeners.

⭐️ Life’s been busy, real busy. So in a valiant effort to defer some on going projects I decided to add another to the list — purge and reorganize the game library. I purposely removed three ikea overflow bookcases to force myself to get to it. Do I need to do this now? No. Am I excellent at adding to my to do list when I have no time… yes.

So here’s to fighting thru 500+ games and building a comfortable size collection of only games I really enjoy and letting go of the excess.

On that same note posting less without social pressure is on the table too. Finding balance in life is important. The need to embrace that analog life is strong.

🐰 Garden Bunny is a Solo One-Page RPG with a cute twist on the dark gory monsters that loom around corners. Instead your foes are along the lines of hawks and cats and worse yet the gardener who may very well turn you into rabbit stew. You just need a d6 and a way to keep score. Simply Explore, Fight, or Flee.

Can you make it back to the burrow alive?

Inspired by the endearing stories of Peter Rabbit and my personal small town garden. No Ai was used in the design or creation.

👀 “Is it chess with Kaiju?” At first glance that may be your first thought, but after a closer look you discover it’s a swift 1v1 tactical battle with yes…Kaiju…and dice…and cards!

⭐️ Game play: Roll the dice and place artifacts according to the grid layout. Then spend two actions to move your Kaiju and/or play cards. If you’re in position to battle simply roll the dice and utilize cards to influence your chances to win.

⭐️ Our Thoughts: It’s quick! There’s a handy player aide that makes for a smooth learning curve. You absolutely need to utilize your card combos or you could be left completely to the chance gods with your dice rolls. Overall, it’s a two player abstract game with chunky little Kaiju (dare I say cute) that does have replay ability.

⭐️ Special thanks to @campingmeeple for the handoff and especially for @pigeon.plays for giving us the opportunity to play. It’s the last day on KICKSTARTER so go check it out!

I chose KAIJU for our theme today.

⭐️ Kaiju K.O. @pigeon.plays

⭐️ King of Tokyo @iellogames

⭐️ Godzilla @funkogames

All three of these games have these strange monsters battling each other whether thru dice or cards or a combination of both.

👀 Look for Kaiju K.O. on Kickstarter! It’s in its last hours!
