Presenting you The Juicewala Project for @abdmaestro_ @barmaestro_ 2026.

Mumbai is a city that never wastes an opportunity. Every morning, thousands of glasses of sweet lime juice are sold on its streets. We enjoy the juice, and the peels are thrown away—considered useless, ending their journey in a bin.
I wanted to change that story.
I began collecting sweet lime peels from local juice vendors around Mumbai and transformed what was considered waste into the soul of this cocktail: a bright, aromatic sweet lime soda. The ingredient that most people discard became the ingredient that gives this drink its identity.
The second inspiration comes from our daily rituals. Chai and coffee are not just beverages in India; they are moments of connection. By creating a homemade chai-coffee liqueur, I wanted to capture the warmth of our streets, our cafés, and our homes in one ingredient.
At the center of it all is Woodburns Contemporary Indian Whisky.
Woodburns is a contemporary Indian whisky that embraces bold flavors and modern Indian identity. Its fruit-forward character, gentle spice, and soft smokiness create the perfect bridge between the citrus oils of the sweet lime and the rich notes of chai and coffee. Rather than overpowering the local ingredients, the whisky elevates them, proving that Indian whisky can be both a canvas and a partner for indigenous flavors.
This cocktail is a highball, but it’s also a statement.
It says that sustainability doesn’t need exotic ingredients or complicated techniques. Sometimes, the most important ingredient is the one we choose not to throw away.
Every sip begins with waste, travels through local flavors, and ends with a delicate sweet lime mousse—an elegant reminder that even the discarded can become something beautiful.
This drink is my tribute to Mumbai: a city that finds value in everything, and to Woodburns, a whisky that allows local ingredients to become the true stars of the glass.
Because sometimes the best ingredient isn’t what we buy—it’s what we save.
