We’re actually pretty proud to officially add that S.

Ginny is now a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor—a milestone she has wanted for a long time and worked incredibly hard to earn.

And because accomplishments rarely happen in a vacuum, this one came while continuing to serve her clients, lead a growing team, run a business, build an entirely new studio, raise two adorable humans, and—somewhere in there—continue her personal mission of learning how to slow down. (The irony is not lost on us. 😂)

But this title means more than another credential after her name.

Supervision has been something Ginny has felt drawn to because she genuinely loves supporting the people who do this work. It creates another way for Bloom to invest in therapists and helping professionals—not only by giving them a place to practice, but by offering quality guidance, thoughtful mentorship, collaboration, and the kind of professional support that helps good clinicians continue to grow.

We believe the people caring for others deserve to be cared for, challenged, supported, and poured into, too.

And now we get to do even more of that here. 🤍

Personal training with HEART 🩷
The best thing I ever did for my mind, body, business, pain, anxiety, mood, etc etc….strength training with a strong, smart, amazing woman. She has inspired me for many years, became a dear friend, co-worker and confidant. And now she’s creating a beautiful gym inside my studio…pinch me, because surely this is a dream.

Growing a business that serves others allows me to continue creating more opportunities. I connect people that should know each other. I bring new experiences to our community. I support other local businesses and make space for other’s ideas.
And outside of business…oh, trust me, my family is WINNING. That’s what drives me.

I know schools back in session. But if you’re left with a little mom-guilt, just know…

You did enough
You are enough

And if something about this summer isn’t sitting right, learn from it but don’t sit in guilt. Every day, every evening, every weekend-you have opportunity. You don’t have anything to prove over long periods of time. Especially when summer feels like you’re just surviving sometimes.

“Aren’t you nervous?” A friend asked me when I told her Will was starting his flight training (at the ripe age of 11).

Sure, I’m nervous, but it’s not my leading emotion. I’m proud, excited, amazed and inspired.

He’s always dreamed of becoming a pilot and when I learned that he can start his flight training now, why wait?

He was a natural. Asked all the right questions. Already building muscle memory as a pilot, and calm.

I got the backseat in the airplane. What a privilege to witness my boy living a very BRAVE first step toward his dream.

Nervous, maybe. But I’m proud as heck. Proud of him for sticking with it all. And proud of my husband and I for recognizing the importance of fostering a dream for our child.

Some clients have been waiting for days, weeks, months to finally get this moment-talking with someone that can help.
But not everyone knows what to say or ask. First, the therapist should be guiding the call, because they get it.
Second, know that this is a brief time to really get a feel for the therapist, their authenticity and how they work.

My advice: Be prepared. But know that 15 minutes is a tiny snapshot so it’s ok if you don’t know everything to say or ask.

But here are some suggestions:
1. Ask them if they’re used to working with ____ (anything you have identified you need support with. i.e. anxiety, life stressors, postpartum, etc.)
2. Ask how would you typically approach something like this?
3. What type of therapy do you use, and what might that actually look like in our sessions?
4. What can I expect from you as my therapist?
5. How will we know if therapy is working or I’m making progress?
Bonus: Is there anything you’ve heard from me today that makes you think you would, or wouldn’t be a good fit for me?

Not every therapist offers consults for their own reasons. But if you get the opportunity, I hope this helps!
