After 300-something posts of showing you my work and almost never talking about how I got myself here… probably time we officially meet.

I’m Gio. 👋

I’m the guy behind GIOGRAFIK, and if you want to know more about how I actually work with clients, check out the second pinned post.

Spoiler: there are a lot of questions involved. by @giografik

Your Canva logo was probably fine when it was just you, your laptop, and a dream.

But now you’ve got a team, a website, a proposal deck, social media, and a plethora of “branded” templates you’re using that all say something different.

And somehow, none of it looks like the same company.

That’s usually the point where “good enough” stops being good enough.

If your brand has outgrown the business you started with, let’s fix that. by @giografik

Every week somebody posts the five steps to building a brand.

Five steps. And I'm like, for who? Because a twelve year old manufacturing company and a brand new skincare line do not need the same thing done to them in the same order.

They don't even need the same questions asked. I've had projects where positioning took three weeks because the founder couldn't tell me what they actually did.

And I've had ones where it was clear in one conversation and all the work was in the execution.

Same me. Completely different process.

Because they were completely different people with completely different problems. People tell me I have a style. I look at my work and every client is different, because every client is a different person.

That's the whole thing.

So when someone hands you the universal system, that's not a process. That's a template with a process printed on the front.

And templates are exactly why so many companies end up with a brand that could belong to literally anyone.

There's no one right way to do this. There's your business, there's the truth about it, and the job is getting from one to the other. by @giografik

One of my favourite things clients tell me after working together is: “I see my business differently now.”

And honestly, that’s my favourite part of the job.

It’s not the logo. It’s not the colour palette. It’s not even the shiny new brand at the end.

It’s what happens when someone finally gets asked the right questions about a business they’ve been running on instinct for years.

What do you actually stand for?

Why did you start?

What’s changed?

What do you want this to become?

Sometimes you just need someone to sit across from you and make you talk about it.

That’s why I ask so many damn questions. by @giografik

Because “I know what I like when I see it” is basically asking me to read your mind.

A mood board helps us figure out the look, feel, personality, and vibe of your brand before we start designing.

It gives us a visual direction to react to, so we’re not just throwing logos at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Basically: the mood board gets us on the same page before design even starts. by @giografik

The deck doesn’t match the website.

Someone used the wrong yellow.

Your logo was pulled off Google.

And your new hire just made something in Canva that is… technically a colour that exists in your brand.

It’s funny until you realize you’re spending money to promote a brand that looks different every time someone sees it.

Every inconsistent touchpoint makes recognition start over from zero.

The good news? This is a relatively cheap problem to fix.

It gets a lot more expensive when you leave it alone. by @giografik

I’ll spend three weeks helping someone get their typography just right… …and then their first post goes up in whatever font was already open on their computer.

Funny for about four seconds. Then you realize what it’s actually costing them.

Typography affects how people perceive quality, trust, and risk, even when they can’t explain why something “feels” better.

There’s research behind this.

Same product.

Different fonts.

People consistently rated one as higher quality and less risky.

So yeah, I give a sh*t about your fonts. A lot. by @giografik

United didn’t need a brand that forgot where they came from. They needed one that could take them where they were going.

A generational rebrand built for the next chapter.
