In ihrem Projekt »The Answer is NO« verwenden Maja Osojnik und Ursula Winterauer die gleichen Klangquellen – Stimme, E-Bass und Sampler. @ma.ii.ja @manuel__riegler @majaosojnik @gischt____ präsentiert von l i ¢ ¢ h t ☞ https://liccht.at/events/ by @gischt____

This years final edition of our artist-in-residence program is coming up! You’re warmly invited to join an open rehearsal with our amazing and intense artists-in-residence, Tzu Ni and Nerve, who will present a newly developed work at our beloved Westbahnstudios. 22.10.2026 - WBS - Preysinggasse 5, 1150 Vienna 19:00 doors 20:00 performances by TZU NI and NERVE Free admission – donations welcome :) @lo4nerve4 @iilli.i.illii Thx to Klimentina for the wonderful graphics @klimentina.li 🤍 Curated and organized by Peter Kutin & Ursula Winterauer @kutin_____ @gischt____ Kindly supported by MA7 Musik & BMWKMS. - TZU NI Tzu Ni is a Taiwanese sound and installation artist based in the Netherlands. She believes in the flexibility of human bodies and approaches the intersection of technology and humanity as a generative space, seeking a balance between institutional and non-institutional contexts. Her practice unfolds the feminine body through sonic decay, resonance, and subtle vibrational forces. She works with a self‐built wire instrument alongside a digital no‐input system to construct environments where sound becomes a medium of intimacy, resistance, and relational knowledge. @iilli.i.illii - NERVE Nerve crashes academic precision into the raw, subversive energy of the underground rave scene, delivering high-pressure sonic collisions. Digging deep into contemporary classical roots, he deconstructs musical paradigms via cross-genre hybridisation and experimental distortions of tradition to forge radical sonic statements. He uses free improvisation as a core logic, absorbing harsh electroacoustics, fractured beats, infrasonic bass weight, and heavily abused DSP. Driven by hyper-speed body gestures, his live sets conjure a unique auditory anomaly: a critically abrasive noise aesthetic built for intense dancefloor kinetics. @lo4nerve4 by @gischt____

KONCERT 17.10 godz. Jest basistką doommetalowego zespołu Eaeres oraz współtworzy noise’owy duet The Answer is No razem z Mają Osojnik. GISCHT Ursula Winterauer, also known as Gischt, is an experimental composer, electronic music producer, and curator based in Vienna. Her eclectic soundscapes move between industrial, techno, and ambient, shaped through the use of bass guitar, synthesizers, and dense electromagnetic textures. In her work, she creates raw sounds that oscillate between brutality and atmospheric diffusion, sometimes contrasting with the clarity and human quality of her own voice, which she uses as an instrument. She is the bassist of the doom metal band Eaeres and forms the noise duo The Answer Is No together with Maja Osojnik. Winterauer also works as a sound designer and film composer, creating music for contemporary dance performances. She is the co-founder and co-director of the record label Ventil Records by @gischt____

donnerstags 01. Oktober 2026 / Beginn 20 Uhr Screening: »The Great Tree Piece« 10 min. Film von Claudia Larcher, Sound von Ursula Winterauer & Gischt - »It’s all temporary« Sound Performance eingeladen von Hans Jürgen Hauptmann & Sophie Kim Kooperation mit E+T Ursula Winterauer, who performs under the moniker Gischt, is a composer, electronic music producer, and curator based in Vienna. Her practice explores raw sonic structures shaped by digital processes, contrasted with analog warmth and the vulnerability of the human voice. This results in layered compositions that draw on industrial sound aesthetics, combining field recordings, bass guitar, synthesizers, and dense electronic textures into immersive environments. Often developed through close collaboration with musicians and performers, her works function as structural sound scores rather than fixed notation. Winterauer develops pieces for ensembles, works as a sound designer and film composer, and creates compositions for contemporary dance. In addition, she is the bassist of the doom-metal band Eaeres and one half of the noise duo The Answer is Noalongside Maja Osojnik. She is the co-founder and label head of Ventil Records, co-organizer and commercial director of the Unsafe+Sounds Festival and was the curator of New Salt – Festival for sonic exploration & digital art within the framework of European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024. »The Great Tree Piece« What makes a tree a tree? What form can an encounter with it take? And what does the tree itself have to do with what we see? Claudia Larcher's film The Great Tree Piece addresses important questions that reveal themselves as soon as we begin to contemplate the endlessly complex relationship between humans and nature. The film consists of a single tracking shot from the crown of a tree to the underground, where humus, fungi and roots act as world makers in the darkness. (…)
