La Vague, La Route. 🌊
A journey through incredible Portuguese landscapes, surrounded by a brilliant team, long days outdoors, a bit of surf, and the kind of work that hardly feels like work.
Probably one of my favourite projects for @elitisfrance @motel409
Portugal was just a location back then. Today, it’s a place I call home.

On a 24h Milan Design Week marathon, I stopped for a moment inside “Continuous Present” Andrea Branzi by Toyo Ito. @triennalemilano @andrea_branzi @toyo_ito_architects

Peaceful and strong at the same time, deeply radical, of course.

I had the luck of having Branzi as a professor at Politecnico and walking through this felt like a flashback of him showing his work on the projector to us, probably not fully understanding it back then, but through this exhibition finally seeing his vision more clearly.

He remains one of the most inspiring figures for me.
Explorer of ideas not only visually captivating but deep in their meaning, relevant objects and projects carrying concepts you stop and start thinking.
Hybridisation and the language of nature entering the vocabulary of modernity,
playing at the edge of contemporary and postmodern.

For those who knew him or want to know him more, definitely worth a visit. by @giuliafarewell

This year @Motel409 signs the campaign for Salone del Mobile, A Matter of Salone. @isaloniofficial
A project I find deeply poetic and meaningful in its beauty and purity, translating the idea of creative process into something visually immediate and impactful.
10 years of Motel409, and thinking back to 20 years ago, when I met my partners at Politecnico, @humbud @martabagante I don’t think we would have imagined creating something like this together for the institution that still remains the core engine of the entire Design Week.
I’ve been experiencing this one from a bit of a distance, but I imagine seeing it in person across the city of Milano must be quite something.
Proud and grateful to the team who brought it to life.

Alba, born precisely on her due date - 17.01.25 at 14.44 in Lisboa. Mother and daughter are in perfect health. We are a little family now, the love is on another level.

In March I had the chance to go back to my favorite (Italian) island, Sardinia, rough land of craft and creativity. @motel409 together with @alessandrasanti we set the latest @sabaitalia campaign among the impressive monolithic sound sculptures of @giardino_sonoro created by Pinuccio Sciola in the 60’ and involved the talented eye of @mattiazoppellaro to portray it. The result is a poetic, true to its origins video and photos of which I’m very proud. Enjoy the view!
