See how a retired man is transforming Atlanta in the most creative way.

Atlanta is home to over a quarter of the state’s homeless population. One man, Nicky Crawford, is using his retirement to ensure those on the streets have access to basic human necessities.

With the help of Georgia Tech engineering students, Nicky turned a school bus into a mobile laundry facility, offering clean clothes to those in need.

But that’s not all. Last year, Nicky unveiled a mobile shower trailer that serves 50 people weekly with showers, toiletries, and more. His nonprofit, Flowing with Blessings, also provides haircuts, health checks, and meals.

“At Flowing with Blessings, we believe that every person deserves to feel clean, comfortable, and valued. With our services, we aim to empower those facing homelessness and help them rebuild their lives with dignity.”

Share this story to celebrate and support Nicky’s incredible work.

Mafolasire, the Founder and CEO of Givelify on rejection.

The hardest part about hearing “no” isn’t the rejection itself.

It’s the story we start telling ourselves after.

“If they don’t believe in me… maybe I’m not good enough.”

That’s where self-doubt grows.

A closed door doesn’t determine your value. It simply means your journey continues. Keep showing up, keep doing the work, and trust that your purpose isn’t decided by someone else’s opinion.

What’s one “no” that ended up leading you somewhere better? 👇 by @givelify

It started with a simple phone call...

During the pandemic, Flossie Varner realized so many people needed food.
So she made a call...to action. 📞🙏🏾

“I reached out to our pastor, Dr. Bryant, and asked if we could start a food bank.”

That call became The King’s Table, a drive-through ministry that now serves thousands of families each week.

This #throwbackthursday, remember: when you see a need, be the one who moves! 💪🏾

The Liberian civil war put her dream on hold but faith and generosity brought it back to life.

Meet Varbah Weah, a nursing student in Liberia, who had to delay her high school education due to war in her homeland.

During her childhood, she endured harrowing encounters with rebels who attacked her community.

Yet, she fearlessly pursued her dreams of becoming a nurse through the generosity of Pastor Richard Ubadire Ihedioha, @bishopdudleyphd, and @newlifeofallon.

Because of their generosity and vision, Varbah’s dream came full circle.

“Being generous causes me to take advantage of opportunities to change somebody’s life.” -Varbah Weah

Be reminded, your generosity is unlocking someone else’s future! 🧡🧡 taken in Monrovia, Liberia by @givelify

A single act of kindness can change the course of a life.

When @iamdrjazz lost her mother, a teacher named Miss Roach stepped in.

Not just as an educator, but as a guiding light.

She gave her a glimpse of what was possible, providing care, comfort, and a home unlike anything she had known.

Now, @iamdrjazz carries that same spirit forward, dedicating her life to helping others.

Drop a 🧡 in the comments if a woman like “Miss Roach” ever showed up when you needed it most! taken in Landover, Maryland by @givelify

He started as a sanitation worker.

Now, Terrill Haigler, better known as Ya Fav Trashman, is on a mission to make Philadelphia the cleanest city in the world.

“Sometimes, all it takes is one person and a little courage to spark real change,” says Terrill.

This Black History Month, we recognize the changemakers who didn’t wait for permission to make a difference.

What began with a few trash bags and a big dream has turned into a movement.

Today, his garbage truck is cleaning tons of trash and creating opportunities for others.

Through his nonprofit, Trash 2 Treasure, he’s tackling illegal dumping, creating jobs for returning citizens, and helping at-risk youth.

Generous people like you have already stepped up.

Here’s how you can join them:
💬 Like, comment, and share this post to spread the word and encourage others to get involved.
🤝 Donate $120 (the cost to dump one ton of trash) to support Terrill’s February goal of removing 41 tons of trash. [Link in bio]
📍 Join the movement if you’re in Philadelphia—follow @_yafavtrashman for clean-up event updates and make a hands-on difference.

🏀 What began on the court now changes lives far beyond it. 🏀

InTouch CDC, founded by Dr. Willard Maxwell Jr., started with a simple question:

Can basketball bridge the gap between law enforcement and community members?

Absolutely.

And they’ve done that and much more.

This Black History Month, we honor the spirit of service that flourishes at the heart of Black-led churches, nonprofits, and their communities.

InTouch CDC offers after-school programs, disaster relief, shelter for the homeless, and opportunities for law enforcement to engage with community members.

All of InTouch CDC’s programs share a common goal: to help people rebuild, recover, and relate to each other.

“Anytime we can make an impact anywhere, that’s what we want to do because our job is to make the light a little bit brighter.” @willard.maxwell

Just last week, they sent an 18-wheeler truck full of supplies to bless families impacted by the Southern California wildfires.
